Thanks so much for the guide. It's a daunting task for a total noob just trying to get a quest cape. My advice for a total noob just trying to get a quest cape is: only weapon needed is a toxic blowpipe with dragon darts; it does decent damage and attacks so much faster than most other weapons (some recommedn the dragon crossbow, but for me it was just too slow). I'd do a blessed d'hide coif, black d'hide chaps and body, and snakeskin boots, plus a blessing and an amulet of fury if you can get one. This is cheap gear with okay stats, and this way if you die you will be able to get your stuff back from Death's office for very little cost (full blessed d'hide can cost up to 60k+ to retrieve from Death). I shadow blast him whenever he does his first orange attack, and then just plan on surviing 2-3 specials. I found zig-zagging during his rock throw special worked well, because that should put you in a position where the rocks will shield you from his awful blast. When he does his lightning special, just run a close range square around him like in the video; I didn't bother trying the back-and-forth trick. If you get caught, go the opposite way to avoid being perfectly wrong and always being in his blast radius. When he does his rage phase, to be honest I just prayed range and tanked the magic attacks, eating as needed, because there was just too much going on. I would say the chance of survival for at my level is about 60% doing this, so you may want to follow the video's advice at prioritizing prayer flick over attacking. I brought sharks and karambwan for quick healing, and also used a regular ranged potion (I didn't need divine) and a prayer potion to keep the prayer up. But that's just for a total noob trying to complete the fight for the quest. If you are going for multiple kills, do not do that.
What an awesome detailed guide. I really like the breakdown of the lightning phase based on weapon speeds and accounting for mistakes/whatnot. Legitimately one of the best OSRS guides I've seen (as a nerd who prefers technical guides with lots of information over basic 'how to' guides)
Man your guide is unreal. Clear, concise, organized, only information that's relevant and very to the point. You are also clearly incredibly good at this boss!! Subscribed and cant wait to check out your other vids man!
The enrage phase is what gets me the most. But the prayer switching sometimes already fucks me up. Luckily I went and tried Leviathan in the Leagues before taking a little break from the game. I think I'd do better with a Webweaver Bow.
Instead of fairy ring to wizard tower for that route, use necklace of passage to wiz tower.. everyone legit forgets that Ammy exists..obvs if you have the diary to travel without staff then carry on ha
For some reason i struggle with leviathan alot compared to other dt2 bosses. I can get through 50 vard kc in a row without dying but i somehow cant handle leviathan last phase. Switching prayers and also dropping webweaver specs while also moving with the light thing is too tough to handle
It is significantly worse cause of the huge defense on Leviathan, you would be better off using a dragon crossbow with ruby bolts and bring the blowpipe for enrage phase.
Hello Mr Dak! A bit off topic here, what would be your top 5 or 10 bosses for a naked rebuild or bosses that are budget friendly? Love the content by the way!
I'm working on a vid for bosses for beginners/budget setups, but I'm not sure where I'm headed with it quite yet. For now I'd say at least Giant Mole, Sarachnis, and DKS are solid options
No gauntlet? I know my question is weird because most of the time budget = beginners and rebuild normally means you do it with a specific item. But I’m a main with loads of bossing experience. I just sold my bank for the fun of starting from scratch. I was just looking for places to go with cheap gear that could make me bank. Thanks for the answer tho! DKS is a great idea to get a few mills going my way while not needing lots of money to be doable.
If you want something chill for mobile, I’d say giant mole and herb runs. That’s what I did after dumping for a bowfa. You can make 1.2m - 1.5m an hour at giant mole, then do a 5min herb run for 300k Start up cost for giant mole is just full dharoks, a few staminas and like 10 prayer pots. That’s only like 3-4mill
Most players I've seen talk about Leviathan love this boss. The drop table is balanced well, and it's once of the most fun fights. Maybe it's just not the boss for you, but definitely doesn't need any tweaks
@@TheEdB0ys this guide actually helped so much i dont have any trouble with him now got my teleport and virtus mask and few orbs im onto vardorvis now so much funner he also shit on me but its my favorite fight now also got the teleport and i might have used your guide on him too got the axe skip down just sometimes i cant get it when its coming at me my timing is off i havent got any good loot at 101kc but ill get something soon more focused on toa
Enraged phase Leviathan is difficult. It just takes practice to be able to flick your prayers and do other things at the same time. You'll get better at being able to flick between overheads while still having your eyes on the boss.
Yes, very worth Corrupting the bow to save charges in the long run. I bought back my Bowfa just for this grind, and didn't corrupt it yet because I wasn't sure how many kills I was gonna do. It takes a lot of kills to make up for the shards at just Leviathan, but Bowfa is sick at a ton of places. So if you plan on grinding with it, definitely corrupt it. Green is the coolest color option btw
11:50 ??????????????? instead of using the special attack, it turns around, shoots a green ball and bites me, and stacks me out on the same tick. I FUCKING HTAT ETHIE B OSS S SOM UCH\
You need to get behind the Leviathan and use an attack before he's unstunned. It sounds like you're running behind him and not getting the attack off in time
i never thought they could make a more cancerous bossfight than zulra and here we are. This obnoxious pile of shit is literally harder than inferno for me.
No shot you left 4 comments complaining about the boss instead of fighting something else. Based off your other 3 comments, you're doing it wrong and blaming anybody but yourself
The guide is not lying to you. You're doing the fight wrong and blaming me bruh You have to Stun the boss with a shadow spell, run behind him while he's not turning, and use an attack before the Stun wears off. If the Leviathan is waking up and using regular attacks instead of a spec, then you took too long to attack him from behind.
