A good thing to do with the fang would be to show when/where it beats out comparable weapons like the rapier/salad blade/inquis mace, but that might be a bit longer than you'd want in this video.

Tbh fang will always out dps rapier on any boss with a decent amount of defence. The blade and inquis will out dps on bosses with really low slash and crush def. The thing to keep in mind is out of all these weapons u mentioned, the fang is the best multipurpose weapon out of them all.

This is anecdotal and I have only spent a few days of testing them both on regular slayer monsters but so far my investigation has come to this conclusion: At every slayer monster I have tested this (I will do half the task with the fang and half the task with the rapier) the fang comes out ahead in xp/hr every time. It's not a huge difference, and the fact that I only have 82 attack possibly contributes to this, but the vastly superior accuracy puts out higher consistent dps than the rapier does. The higher the defence level of the monster, the more the fang pulls ahead, but even on monsters with minimal defence level the fang still comes out on top every single time. I have not tested bosses as I'm not a big fan of pvm in general and I suck at it.

@@gibble7863 for regular slayer task rapier outdps the fang due to it being a 5 tick weapon. The fang pulls ahead on high def monsters usually bosses.

Something that's missing in my honest opinion is the crystal set, which is less then or around 200m rn, when you equip the set with the bowfa it gives an accuracy bonus of 30% and a damage increase of 15%, its a descent substitute for Tbow with masouri and its quite cheaper too, will allow you to go on raid grinds faster to earn money for that crazy late game equipment, these are just my thoughts ofc...as soon as i earned mine through the corrupted gauntlet my ability to pvm swiftly shifted and im happy with the set until i eventually upgrade to tbow with masouri

My question is with the BGS when you spec. I know it lowers defence first but in what order does it lower the defence? Is it stab def/slash def/magic def/etc or does it lower all those depending on what u hit?

It lowers defense by level. Not their resistances.

Don't bother, it wasnt a great example. Just use the keris partizan. I think the normal partizan is like 10% more dps than the fang at kq and the breaching partizan is like 20% better dps

What do you think of making it so that the Rapier had a special attack in the special attack would improve its accuracy upon each successful, hit within a minute, interval, and this, but would compound

Most of the strongest 1 hander melee weapons have never had powerful special attacks so that seems a bit too strong imo

not really it would only work on longer fights. So ur attack would become faster and more acc as you hit. its a hard item to get anyways. needs a better payout@@MRkriegs

What is the highest damage melee 1 handed weapon ? Is it still the rapier ? Or do ppl just use the fang now ?

It's the rapier for any low/mid defense monster and the fang for things with super high defense. The defense has to be so high though that it mostly only applies to some bosses and like adamant dragons. Really so much is case by case basis. If you're doing slayer stick with a rapier, if your gonna do ToA and abyssal sire get the fang.

@@edwing8682 is it better to buy a lance just for dragons or a fang since it has more use overall. Ibe been off osrs for about a year and a half and i feel so behind haha. im on a Tbow rebuild and i currently own a whip , but im thinking whats the next thing to get, Fang, Rapier or Lance.

@@_slasherxr8 Honestly anywhere the lance is good the fang is very close behind it, and it has a couple of places it's way better namely ToA. If you're doing mostly Cox and Vorkath get a lance. If you're doing a moderate mix of everything and/or any ToA at all then you should go for a fang. If you're doing mostly slayer it's rapier, fang is only good on abyssal sire slayer wise.

@@_slasherxr8 my kills per hour are more by on average of 3-5 at vorkath with a fang although the lance hits higher I find there’s a lot less 0s on average even with the lance improved accuracy

Speaking of the fang, i swapped to it over the dragon hunter lance and used it at vorkath and many random slayer monsters/bosses. In my opinion it beats the lance at vorkath. My average times were lower. My fastest time is with the lance but i have about a 2 minute gap between my fastest and my slowest times. The fang was very consistent overall in being within 30 seconds of my fastest time without the 2 minute swing. Thats just my experience but i didn't regret the purchase.

What places would be best to use the bowfa? Only in raids or is it like the fang a multi purpose weapon to use in slayer/bossing/etc? I mainly see crossbows being recommended for range

Some bosses are capped on how much their defence can be drained by, regardless of their level. I think Nex and all the bosses in toa are capped at -20 defence levels (correct me if I'm wrong). That being the case, a bgs is better instead of a d hammer.

I don't think it's capped just that there's a difference between basic defence and for example stab defence. Take Baba at 0 invocation. You can reduce the basic defence from 80 to 0 sure but it's still gonna have +60 stab, +200 range defence ect......

@@UIMcocodog after posting this I looked on the wiki and all the bosses have a different defence level that they can be reduced too and no further. I think the lowest is 50 defence.

Can you use venator to help nab healers for jad? Will it helps noobs like me finally be able to get past that part. Cause twisted bow is too much of a cost. I cannot find anyone to confirm this :( please help

If the healers are all stacked together or within 1 square of each other I don’t see why not. Since there is 4 healers, it may tag 2 shots to take them all.

once the healers come out: Wait for jad to attack pray accordingly click one healer, and repeat until youve tagged every healer. wait for jad to attack, pray click healer. Wait for jad to attack pray click second healer, repeat repeat. dont try to tag multiples in quick time when you're learning. Very easy

don't wanna be the guy who complains but i really have to. no chapters on a video like this is criminal, it makes it a chore to use as a reference in the future and even first time watching if people are only interested in certain parts (in this case weapons)
