Pray range not magic against kq, Her range and mage attacks literally ignore defense entirely and have the same max hit. It’s a special mechanic. But range drains prayer too. She was designed a long ass time ago. Iirc the way the boss was meant to be fought (large teams), range attacks hit less players but drained prayer, mage attack chained between players multiple times. So in masses you’d pray mage but the special chain effect doesn’t happen on in solos so your pray range to save prayer. “The Kalphite Queen can inflict large amounts of damage with her Ranged and Magic attacks as they always result in a successful hit.” “Her Ranged attacks will drain 1 prayer point (which may be reduced by spectral spirit shield). If there are players close to the person being targeted with this attack they will also be hit, to avoid this players can stand on opposite sides of the Kalphite Queen. Her Magic attack bounces from player to player. Her Melee attack can also hit high, but unlike the Magic and Ranged attacks, it does not have a 100% accuracy.”
Oh i just watched some video's like Asuka Yen's guide and this makes alot more sense. I'm going to use range prayer instead now. I just looked at some max efficiency guides and guessed magic prayer was the correct one to pray. I saw everyone else praying it in some videos so didn't think it was incorrect
Good amount of recent videos showing off the staffs ability. Can you post a solo kree trip next? Start a kill, instantly freeze melee minion and dps boss, really curious to see if it SHREDS kree.
I might be able to not sure if I’ll be able to get it on task since I don’t have aviansies unlocked yet. I think it would do pretty good. kree’arra kinda scares me with the dps output though I wonder how mage gear would do there compared to armadyl/ranged also
@@momoflipMwvids Kree shouldn't scare you, try it WITHOUT a task in max mage gear, swap the seers ring for ring of suffering if needed. Pray range during the entire fight, means grey tornados deal zero damage, freeze the melee minion means no melee damage ever, as long as you are attacking kree even at distance, he'll never come towards you and melee you. The only damage you'll take is from the mage minion and blue tornado from kree. Praying augury will give you extra defence from those attacks, give it a shot. We'd all love to see its power.
Thanks for getting these out. Had a question though. I know the T bow calculates damage by either your magic level or magic attack stat. What happens if you get shot by a T bow in that gear?
I have no idea that’s an interesting question. I’ve never heard of tbow efficiently being used for pvp. Not sure how magic level/attack stat effects damage
@@momoflipMwvids I only had the chance to mess with it in a test world a while back. But changing stats and gear did change how the tbow hit against my alt. Can't remember what I maxed. But with a 400+ magic attack I'm guessing a dragon arrow from a tbow might be devastating.
I've been wondering this and haven't had a chance to test it. Although this wasn't the case on release, now in castle wars/soul wars the shadow doesn't apply the magic bonus buff. It says it does in the item screen but it actually doesn't. So tbow probably hits like poop
@@robeshd6536 when the beta worlds were running I tested it. Since in the wild there is a PVE element you do get the buff vs monsters. I was hitting constant 65s. Not sure if that is regular TBow damage vs high magic attack though
voly doesn’t give you a +500 attack bonus lol. Yeah it has a max of 20 higher (approximately 30%) but at the cost of 60% less accurate, attack bonus wise but taking into consideration voly spec gives 50% additional accuracy making the actual calculation of the spec about 50% less accurate than the tumekens shadow. Long story short, the volatile will give him the best overall pb Kill time with his setup but camping shadow will give him the most kph.
oh that's actually a really good idea especially with mage gear. Could probably save a lot of food spaces and get like 5+ kill trips if not using poh spec method
Ohhhh wait i forgot blood barrage is ancient spellbook lol wouldn't be able to cast venge also. I don't think it's viable gp too since each cast is 2k and KQ only drops 50k on average. I actually thought of it being a viable method for a little bit lol
@@martinverbeek8862 voly doesn’t give you a +500 attack bonus lol also it’s max is 89 on task. I never run out of prayer at KQ just food. KQ deals a lot of dps to my character so i run out of food really fast. I usually bring too many prayer pots
Yea that’s a pretty good idea . The volatile spec would probably make up for the lost time since it’s so accurate to use. I gotta test melee specs along with it I wonder how kill times would be
@@momoflipMwvids tough call between the d claw and volatile, volatile maxes 89 and d claw is 92, d claw probably hits higher through kq's prayer though, idk how monster prayers work. obviously not well. two good specs and two good vengs probably leave it in one or two shot range of the shadow though

No idea lol. I’ve heard using scythe on both the phases isn’t that bad all or not using a switch. Not sure if the prayers over KQ’s head just don’t work that well or what the reason is
They might. If it’s supposed to be the tbow equivalent for magic they might not though. I feel like tbow, scythe, and Tumeken’s shadow all have Bis places to use where ones more overpowered than the other. Like shadow kills bosses like KQ and zulrah really fast but not other bosses so uses are limited
Yea I thought I imagined the boss dying when I returned or panic tele’d without remembering. when I rewatched it I guess the boss just disappeared temporarily lol
using a 2 bil item on a shit tier boss is the most backwards thing ever. Look at the drops. Absolutely worthless. When it came out the only worthwhile item it dropped, which was quite rare, was the dragon chain. About 15 mil gp. A completely outdated boss. And she deals crazy damage too even in groups. It's the definition of "not worth it"
