Yeah. People are too organized and malicious to have archaic PVP systems anymore. Back in RS2, clans fought other clans over "turf" and worlds. Now PVP clans are an industry. How the times change

I wish they would do something similar as the alchemists amulet but for binding necklaces in gotr. that would make it so much nicer to make combination runes
If wrathnaw was a random spawn throughout the world INCLUDING the wilderness I think it would pass but slowly restricting it to the wildy making it a huge group activity will just invite people to rag and make it an unfun experience for the majority of players
The problem with a wildy world boss is clans are going to fully lock the boss down and there is no way for Jagex to avoid it. Itll just be the old rev caves where a certain amount of players made an insane amount of money and griefed every normal player away.
Gielenor Games could be up HUGE with those private servers. I imagine some things would be much easier for them to setup and they can do even more things with this kind of control.
With the right support they could make each of the challenges a little minigame so that the rules are enforced in the gameplay. Like for the red X game so the participants don’t have to manually click back to their old tile/count out their time penalty.
I dont like the idea of a time-gated world boss. Feels very RS3. For me it kinda approaches on dailyscape/FOMO. I dont want to feel like i have to arrange my day around a few specific times to play
I spend most of My time doing clan stuff. I get to grind skills and do combat late at night when everyone in mass has logged off. So then rolling dice of (can i do something) with already pretty bad luck. And worse timing.
Wrathmaw seems like a cool idea, but I doubt many people would be willing to do it making pjing and anti-pjing more limited. The current rewards are too narrow to PVP.
Lol if they make wildy rewards good outside the wildy then pvmers complain about forcing them into the wilderness just so pkers can pick on them, and if they make them only pvp focused then pvmers say “why would I do this content, it’s only relevant to pvp” 😂 I don’t envy jagex there, seems like an impossible balancing act lol
@0oShwavyo0 It's just an outdated PVP system. People think differently today; people play differently. You can observe it on Classic WoW. Servers became dominated by one faction, because at one point "horde was 55% of the server" so people flocked to the bigger side, and tilted the scales. This ultimately kills PVP, because no one wants to be on the side that has 10% population. People, at large, just aren't actually interested in these old PVP systems anymore. A modern example is Amazon's New World. Within a few weeks, PVP factions were unbalanced, because no one wants to be "on the losing side", so one side gains momentum and drowns out PVP.
I feel like the new league boss drops will make it so there's less of a 'meta' for each combat style, adding weapons to areas that are normally dry for a combat style
2 things i wish they had since the beginning. Was dual wielding all wieldable objects. 2 swords 2 daggers 2 staffs. Ect or a holster to hold 1 tool like axe or pick so it opens the 28th spot. Woukd ve worn as a cape or backpack
I'm hoping that with the Potion Storage releasing, they eventually allow us to access the Seed Vault from the bank, too. I dislike being tethered to the Farming Guild, or using bank space for seeds.
i love all the varlamore stuff coming, herblore definitely needs an update, and an iron friendly one at that! giant bosses sound cool, makes sense theyd round it out. i would be shocked if the wildy boss passes, i like the idea of it, but the rewards need to be totally reworked, except for the trinity ward maybe.
wrathmaw was the fastest "no" i've ever clicked on. World bosses are an idea that should be explored but putting the first one as PVP bait is definitely a miss. It's actually incredibly cringe they gave it a teleblock as well as only spawning on certain worlds to increase player density. Predator vs prey mechanics are garbage and jagex needs to to stop pushing it.
i dont know, it gives it an extra wpvp kind of feel like in classic wow where the bosses were spawning randomly and many people barely got the chance to ever kill it but when you did it felt like an insanely cool achievment somehow
Agree. At least make more casual options. Some people aren’t into osrs pvp but are down for pvm/party-pvm. & with there being bots in the pvp pool it makes wanting to learn osrs pvp even less appealing if you didn’t start osrs pvp way back already.
I think it makes sense for the new fletching activity to have good xp rates and/or be free/profitable because it will always have the downside that it won't be a zero-time activity.
idk if i like you just needing the goggles for 10% chance to save secondaries in herblore... i think it should be 2.5% per piece or 2% per piece with a full set bonus of 2% adding up to 10% with the full outfit but i am a big fan of being able to slam my chemistry amulets into the alchemist's amulet
I would agree if it was an xp boost, but it's just secondaries. Even on an ironman, secondaries aren't that big of a deal except for brews. That alchemist's amulet tho... that's a game changer!
The reason why they're doing that is because Jagex is getting a lot of complaints about skilling outfits vs fashionscape. The game looks a lot more boring when everyone is wearing the same stuff, especially the graceful set. This way people only need one piece, and can then fashionscape with all the other available slots. Personally, I would've preferred that all the pieces give 10%, but don't stack with each other, so that you can choose which part of the outfit you want for fashionscape.
@@Youngmuniii you can do 90 percent of content comfortably on mobile when you're used to it, the only things I wouldn't attempt are high level bossing/raids, but I comfortably kill mid level bosses like vorkath on mobile with zero issue
I really wish they’d fix the new account experience. Creating an account, making a new osrs character, then buying membership is a hellish experience. I’ve had a friend just quit the game before he could even log in because he felt jagex didn’t respect his time
I think it's just a skill diff. What more do you and your friend want from them? Now that Jagex accounts are mandatory, it's as easy as creating a Jagex Account. Then click 'add character' within the launcher. That is when you're prompted to make a character. And I'm assuming you might want to buy a membership so you add your card info to the account like anything else.
They will never add the quest helper. That will be the most controversial thing. "Just Auto do the quest for me. That's all I want. Is that too much to ask for?" 😂 I use the quest helper and still haven't done DT1. My account is old enough to buy alcohol in the United States. Been pondering doing Fremennik exiles for a week cause, the helm upgrade.
I got back into osrs seeing some youtube stuff. Logged in to my old accounts and saw Hans. He said I'd played for 24 hours and my account was almost 18 years old. When your account is old enough to vote it really makes you think how old you are.

I feel like the herblore mini game will be compared to mah homes for construction. For a main it's less XP and you only do it for the unlocks but for an iron you get more XP per resource so it's worth doing
He said it wasn't relevant for late game irons. As a late game iron with 25m farming xp and 95 herblore, I'm desperate for this update. Let me stop doing farm runs please.
I agree that I don't see Wrathmaw passing. I think that in order for it to pass they're going to have to drop either the wildy aspect, or the limited spawn aspect. Even then I could see it being close. Personally, I don't see myself engaging with it if it releases as they've proposed.
Im tired of them lumping in cool things with other unrelated content. Combining wards and making mage's elemental tomes should just be a thing that can be done. :/
That worm belongs in the Desert… increase the lethality of heat around the hot spots to make it a pseudo danger like how PvP is the danger in the wild.
i think i would prefer the potions tab to just be just like a regular tab in the bank. that way we can organize it however we want, instead of adding more interfaces that we all know are going to be bugged on launch...
Not to be that guy, but IMO the new ranged gear should require 45-55 defence, not 40. I hope they boost the defence requirement, or add a prayer & quest req
thoughts on wrathmaw, idc about wildy updates, but i do care that for those that do there would be mandatory login times for content, make it 1-2 hours for respawn so that if you want to kill it, its available at some point in most peoples rs sessions
Ok potion storage great, but it will definitely make me more lazy with potion organisation 😅 Right now after trips I make sure to clean up any leftover doses and decant properly, now it's just dump and reload for future me to deal with
I think Wrathmaw had potential when I first heard it. I liked it. It was an idea to thin out PKers in the wilderness towards the wildly boss to make other activities feel safer. Then I learned its world specific and very time specific. That ruined it for me, I no longer felt it was good. If it were on every world, and regular enough that people are going to be constantly fighting one then I would consider it.
I’ve been hoarding my herbs from herb runs for the last few months for the herblore update. Hopefully I can get the rewards I want quick and sell off all my extra herbs for some bank
World boss is private server shit and we don't need more content in the wilderness. If they made it just random appear in the desert it would be dope though
I'm just tired of bosses in the wildy being about people who actually do the boss having to fight against the boss and the pvpers. Not to mention this boss will be doable only like 3 times a day? It just sounds terrible, like the mechanics can't be crazy because its not practicable, it will probably just be another huge ball of hp for ppl who want to kill the boss to have to sit and widdle away at while pkers just feast on them, not interesting.
I realize this might not be in the spirit of wildy bosses, but the only way I could see this not being "just another wildy boss" was if PK-ing was locked to a certain threshold of completion. Like, you would have had to contribute x% of the fight to be eligible to fight other people for their slice of the pie. But even then, most of the PKers you're worried about would be decent enough PvMers to reach the threshold everytime and then wipe the floor with the remaining players. I'm not sure putting this in wildy is going to work.
Group content is good, and soo is adding more pk content to the wildy. I see this boss as a king of the hill type situation for clans and not accessible for solo pvmers. At the very least this means less people killing you at void waker piece bosses

You could say they added VLS/korasi/BH3 for pvp, but the weps added with no polls/failed polls and just ruined 1v1 veng fights in general, while bh3 is just a hole for pkers to shit on other pkers. They basically put pkers on an island away from everyone else. PvP arena is so dead its not even worth mentioning, i guess they did try as you said, but the attempts were so sad and unsuccesful its hard to believe that they actually tried

honestly? kinda disapointed the world boss gonna be wildy only, and feeding more and more into the whole "charge scape" meta. Oh how much would love it if it were like fallen stars, so it appeared all over the world. for wildy only it's gonna take max few months until there is fallen star pluggin made for wrath maw spawns and it's gonna be "who has the biggest clan" contest all over again.
