the new halberd could be good for a melee only fight cave, mostly for avoiding melee atks from both Jad and the magers. same for kq, and should have full damage at corp.

As a note for the Runescape Tabletop RPG, the book you buy from Steam Forged does not include a pre-scripted adventure for your friends to play. The book only details mechanics, resources, some monsters, regions and people of note. The RPG day copy will be a one shot adventure called Trance of Ellara that the players don't need to develop from scratch.

Whoa, I never knew Runefest was going to be hosted in my home city. I'll keep my eye out if they manage to reschedule with the NEC. It's a great location, lots of transport options and hotels in the area. As for going in September, the weather might be ok, though if you don't bring warm clothing or some sort of waterproof coat, you're probably not gonna have a good time.

I agree with the post about the amulet. What would be the point of irons getting the crafting level to get the torture? If it’s at 80 a lot would just boost for the rest of the Zenytes and hang on to the fury. Jagex could drop the requirement needed for the torture. And put the rancor in its spot. Would be a nice compromise!

A few things, they gave a glimpse of the size of the pet in the photo. It won't be tiny. Another thing about the amulet, the last sentence make it seem like you'll use XXXXX from the spider to create it.

The halberd will help for sure, but the main issue is your only Verzik practice is during the fight. If you die, you get to sit out until next time lol. To anyone having trouble, try learning the Perilous Moon bosses. The jaguar attack has you needing to do tick specific movement, but doesn't one shot you! You also don't have to do an entire raid before being able to practice

Wouldn't it be viable to use the noxious halberd at attempting to melee only fight caves? I'm thinking it would make it easier to not have to worry about being melee'd by magers or JAD

The summer in the UK is slightly warm and rainy, the winter is slightly cold and rainy. You won't notice much a difference.

I think adding on a way to charge the amulet and make it degradable (maybe combining a torture with it it) to increase its accuracy and maybe toss on a +1 or +2 strength would keep gear relevant and make it competitive with bloodfurry supremacy.

10:31 Honestly it’d be pretty easy to put rs3 araxxor into osrs. Most of the fight’s balanced around having good pathing, and spam clicking to get out of a cocoon that damages you. The final phase of The Whisperer is kinda similar to the final phase of Araxxor too (you have to constantly flick prayers while running / attacking), it’s just way easier to do with keybind

When someone buys a bond on the GE its more or less always for membership. The bonds have to be bought in game and used for membership or they would be worthless.

I know it's a re-skin but the fox pet transport from forestry would count as another dog pet, which is sort of obvious I think since anyone who has compared them will note the fox has the same head turn and bark into the sky animation the hell puppy has

Hype as hell for new spider boss and new halberd

Doing the dance and calling it a nasty dirty little comment made me chuckle, good nod to a legend.

Nox Hally, it should be noted, has only slightly worse stats than the Elder Maul in terms of strength and accuracy, and is effectively a slightly stronger godsword in that sense. This could give it a considerable niche in pvp as a knockout weapon, and that 5 tick attack speed does outpace the maul and godswords. The whole venom thing is a nice bonus on top. I can see it being quite popular in PKing.

I was training my crafting to make a torture on my iron man (87 atm), but my slayer is high enough already I'm hyped to just grind this boss!

This halberd makes the melee jad ca's a lot easier!

My best weapon for ToB last leagues was the chally for a long time. Halberd tech definitely helps people learn bounce walking p2 without having to learn from the sidelines while their teammates carry.

The Zulrah use case for halberds could be pretty cool ngl

Can use noxious halberd on undead chaos druids so you dont need food. And on chromatic dragos so you dont need pots or food. And in pk, theoretically pairs well with freezing and dding, also makes for an absurd counter to dds poison lol.

My only complaint is the looks of the amulet. It doesn’t look good with other gear.

Amulet of strength is the only 1 that gives str bonus, I wonder why they didnt do that to amulet of magic or accuracy. Might be a bug

The scythe is my favourite weapon in osrs, and I have never even tried ToB. So this might be a nice handicap for me to use at ToB to try and get a scythe.

I've never really liked the placement of the strength amulet, with it being 50 crafting and depending on the monster better than glory/fury, and I don't like the idea of the torture having a higher crafting level requirement than a direct upgrade. I also feel like 80 crafting is no different than no crafting requirement at that point in the game for most irons, and it being tradable means that it doesn't matter really for non-irons either.

I'm a late RS3 convert, just about to get my OSRS Quest Cape, I have a decent amount of Arraxor KC in RS3, going to be a mind fuck to go fight him in OSRS lol

Afk fight caves might be sooo good with the new hally! Full torva/bandos with serp helm and new pray regen potions... easy jad kc's for pet. Oh and dont forget the bloodfury in this setup

I always felt that it was weird that zulrah couldn't be Damaged with a Halberd.

Hally would be nice for Jad on melee fight caves task & melee Jad challenge tasks (I used Chally for melee double Jads).

Outfits should offer more of a buff to incentivize people to actually get them. I get them more for fashionscape while I skill.

The halberd has no use in tob. It will make p2 harder for learners. Not only will they be doing the fight wrong and endangering who ever is beside them on a 4 man being one tile away from versik will require an additional yellow click which if animation stalled will kill the learner.

Im just confused as to why they made this a mid difficulty slayer boss, instead of the tough overworld boss that you can tackle with a friend. Araxxor is pretty beloved by the RS3 community for being rite of passage into high level pvm, so I was hoping to see something similar. Still pretty excited tho.

as an rs3 comp caper araxxor in rs3 is like the next step from god wars 2 it really is not that hard and you can do it in bandos with tier 70 weapons if you want. I am interested to see how similar they are as I am nearly 2k kills rs3 dry of the pet its 1/1000 I believe

So if I wear a serp helm my normal attacks have a better venom chance, but if I'm wearing a serp helm then I won't get venomed meaning I can't benefit from the special attacks accuracy and damage boost? Why do these abilities work directly against each other? Was this intended or an oversight?

There is something really funny about Reach saying "It's a shame that we have this boss that people enjoy doing", about Kraken, and wanting to change it regardless of what people find fun. The rest of the team pushing back and not letting him turn kraken into Zuk was definitely a good idea.

A slayer boss is too easy for the most powerful amulet. Getting zenytes is more difficult. I think it should be + 10 str, +10 att, +10 def and +4 prayer to make it overall better but still give Torture a place where defence and prayer doesn't matter.

the game is getting dangerously close to EoC levels, we keep getting more and more and more powercreep, moons of peril was a GREAT addition as it was something that could progress players while giving them NON-best in slot items. the entire valimore area (minus the colosseum) seems like it was directed towards the mid game players, without being alienating to lower or higher levels... new bis=power creep

It's really stupid if they don't make it an upgrade from the torture and just make it there own thing. We need all the item dumps we can get and ut just makes you feel that you did all that grinding for nothing if your an iron if you already hunted a torture then other new irons just get to skip that? And if you don't make it a upgrade then there's gunna be way to many tortures left floating around the game. Runescape is all about building your account and stacking on better stats to help your pvm. Better gear to help pet hunting, speed runs, ect. To make it like "we know you spent 50 hours grinding this one item. But were gunna make another item that makes it so you just wasted all that time!" It's overall just better for the economy and the player moral... and also it's taken 5.5 years to do a new slayer boss. And your going to make it mid game difficulty with a new BEST IN SLOT?? And not just best in slot at certain bosses but best in slot anywhere meele. End game players. Which these days is a big chunk of your player base and what makes Runescape stable game. Are shaking there heads right now. No upgrade so just more items in the game helping shit on the economy and helping kill Runescape quicker and making it not a challenge. It'd be one thing for that boss to exist with some niche drops. But for a best in slot item that's not challenging? Every BIS item helps more people want to play but it also makes you stronger and slowly makes you so strong the difficulty in the game is too easy. So if your making a best in slot you HAVE TO make it count. And I'd say a non upgrade non challenging boss is not it fam.
