People tend to forget the fact the Jaws soundtrack is more than just the dun-dun Cello stinger. There are some exciting adventurous pirate like music during the barrel sequences, or even some unique leitmotifs for several characters, objects, and locations. The Orca's leitmotif which you can hear in the middle of this song and then again during the Shark cage preparation and the final battle is one of my favorite parts out of all the musical themes in the movie due to it's preparing for battle kind of feeling.

JAWS is the greatest movie ever made! I watched this movie every single day when I was a kid. This is my all time favorite movie

In my opinion it is the most beautiful film in the history of cinema, seen thirty times and always the same emotions.

Fun fact about the “We’re going need a bigger boat” quote is that it was never on the script for the movie! Roy Scheider came with it himself!

Currently listening to this with my headphones on as I read the book version. Really helps my imagination a lot more and helps bring up the intensity as I read it.

How the hell do you come up with this? Williams was an absolute god. This is the best out of the movie IMO. This tells quite a story.

This is the best JAWS movie but you got to admit that JAWS 2 is pretty good for a sequel. I think that the 2nd movie is more intense.

0:34 It's at this exact moment where the audience officially meets Bruce the shark. Up until this point, we have only seen brief glimpses of him. In what is (IMO) the greatest movie villain introduction, Bruce surfaces and begins swimming towards the Orca, accompanied by the iconic theme song. He WANTS them to see him. He's done hiding. The three heroes watch him with fear and astonishment. When they determine how big he is (25 ft in length and 3 tons in weight), the fight is on and the third act begins!

Although these themes are iconic, having just finished reading the novel, I can say that I think the novel does a way better job at describing the shark. This theme makes Bruce have more of a self awareness feel and thus more bloodthirsty, monster feel. The shark in the novel is much more laid off and attacking on instinct l, something that sharks actually do in real life. The only real detail that’s not most accurate in the novel is that sharks almost never truly have an interest in human flesh. Has there been cases? Yes they’re certainly has, but this is extremely rare. So much so that if it does happen, it takes marine biologists by shock. Even with the great white shark, they don’t usually prefer humans, but with how primitive they are, they often can’t distinguish something as food they would actually eat until they touch or bite it. Great white sharks are responsible for most shark attacks, but they are NOT responsible for the most fatalities. The bull shark is more often the most dangerous shark as well as the tiger shark and oceanic whitetip shark.

Fun fact: the iconic line "You're gonna need a bigger boat." Was improvised by Roy Scheider because he constantly on set heard, "We need a bigger camera," or, "We need a bigger shark." And originally in the script he was gonna say something else to Quint, but Scheider came up with that line on the spot.
