Excellent! Thank you sooooooo much. I had surgery three years ago on my index finger (right hand). It was fused at the knuckle (two small screws) and was a fantastic success after suffering hugely for a few years. The limited movement in that finger is almost non existent... and absolutely not a big deal in terms of quality of life. I had to wait two years 'in the cue' for the procedure but well worth it. And I remain so grateful! The surgeon (and team here in Canada) were fabulous! Out of day surgery within a few hours. Now my wrist , base of the thumb (same right hand) has been giving me grief / pain issues but I have found the "Push" splint works wonderfully. I do hike vigorously 5 miles most mornings and I find that very helpful as well for all my bones :) For me, staying fit, is crucial. I am 78 yrs. old.
I wrnt for an xray,I thought I was having an xray for 1 hip...but found I have it in both hips and knees.I also have it in my right had very bad,I've honestly done everything to have a better life...I went for physio but she stopped and has made me an appointment for mri..why did she do that....I'm so active...I feel so fed up...thank u so much for ur vid
My bouchard node pain (on movement only) disappeared with medication that reduced uric acid levels from 7.5 mg/cl to 4.4. Is my case unique or does the disposition of sharp uric acid crystals tend to occur on osteoarthritis joints first?
My right hand started deforming in 2021, now I can't use my index or middle finger, middle finger is basically stuck ram rod straight. Most days I want to take the fingers off! Etedolac is useless now.
Is it common for the pain just to instantly appear? Three weeks ago I got excruciating pain in my left hand, my Doctor thought it was a sprain but I couldn’t remember having one. After 2 weeks I had an X-Ray and it indicated that I broke “smashed was my Doctor’s description” my left hand when I was young. This I cannot remember. Tonight the left side of my left hand above the wrist is showing considerable swelling and no amount of ibuprofen is decreasing the pain. The pain seems to pulse at the same rate of my heart beat. Two things happened before the pain materialised. 1/ I was referred to the hospital pain clinic because it was deemed that I was on too strong pain killers for to long, I had lost half my stomach and had a colostomy bag for over a year. I was also on a very high dose of Parnate. Unfortunately even though the pain Doctor knew I was on Parnate he prescribed a pain killer to help me sleep and reduce the pain. I took it and struggled to breathe the next morning. My psychiatrist identified this medication as something that should not be prescribed with Parnate. The mixture of the drugs effect the heart. Could this effect my hand and wrist as the pain seems to be throbbing in time to my heart? 2/ A week after the medication mixup I caught Covid and was proscribed the Antivirals. Could this be a factor.
Perhaps losing half of your stomach is reducing digestion and absorption of some critical nutrients leading to inability to get rid of inflammatory byproducts. Leaky gut cells allow undigested food into the bloodstream causing systemic inflammation. Try putting out the fire with Circumin curry extract, glutathione or NAC and Epsom salt soaks. Serrapeptase and nattokinase can breakdown inflammatory byproducts and dissolve clots and scar tissue. Look into it because there's blood thinning and risks of bleeding. Good luck!
ah the classic trick by another surgeon, specifically at 9.49. if you fail for conservative treatment? really? are you serious? it is not if but when. and if you simply check various fb groups, you can see half the patients are still in pain. this is rolling a dice. and let me correct you, all operations remove the joint regardless. good luck with your surgery practice as a member of top doctors!
I’m debating back and forth do I roll the dice to give up some pain and a limp and run the risk of more pain , infection or get lucky and be the one who has good results
