Good video!! Was looking into getting these. Just started cutting and need a clipper that cuts the bulk of the hair nice and even. These do a real good job with that?

Please answer this...I wanna buy one of these but all I do is trim my hair to 3/16ths inch length. CAn I do that with this clippers. I do it like every 6 days and I just keep all my hair buzzed at that length...can this do that for me?

Nice video, do you happen to know why the oster76 silver limited edition does not come with a ball oiler?
@Navy735
@Navy735 4 года назад
Sorry if I’m 5 years too late, It is probably made from an ancient version of the clippers. From what I can gather really old models lack the ball oiler. So the silver edition may be built on an older case design, or the ball oiler my be hidden by the silver color of the case.

I used my Oster Classic 76 clippers for the first time and they got hot in 5 minutes. The blade DID NOT get hot. What got hot was the area where you hold the clippers. Anyone know what could be wrong with them? Remember these are new clippers fresh out the box that I used for the first time. I did open them up to check and make sure there was lubrication inside the clipper and it was. So should I return these clippers or is this common? Or is there something I can do to stop them from getting hot within 5 minutes of use?

Yesenia Ambrocio after doing some research I heard that Kool Lube has ingredients that causes cancer so i can't use that. Is it normal for the classic 76 to get warm after 5 minutes? well,,, hot after 5 minutes?

Sorry for the late response to you as well. Clippers heating up is something that everybody hates. It is normal for this during the break in process. But not to the point that it becomes unbearable. If so then the best thing to check is the vents on the side to make sure no plastic or anything from the wrapping found it self lodged in there. If not then maby it is a defective model.

They got hot because the clipper motor needs lubrication. Lubricate the motor by depressing that metal ball on the side of the clipper and drop oil inside where the ball is while the clipper is running. If you have a bottle of Oster lubricant take the tip of the bottle and press down on the ball with the bottle at an angle to prevent leakage, turn the clipper on and squeeze the bottle until the clipper stops sucking up oil and wipe off the excess. The 76 should get warm but never hot. If they become hot 9/10 the motor needs lubricant, and while using them be careful not to depress the metal ball while holding the clipper.

Sorry for the late response. Imo I think the best intro clippers are speedmasters by andis. Quick clean and cheap
