That’s what the fast feeds are for. They are for fading. They are marvelous and fading. Even the corded fast foods can never cut bulk. That’s not what they were built for. They have a slower motor which is more forgiving and it’s done on purpose because that’s what’s better for fading. You can do more detailing with the slower motor. And not cut off too much hair at once.

Hey man. Thanks for the review. I usually don't comment much but I was about to purchase the cordless and needed to look at the reviews. I decided to wait until they fixed some of the mistakes with the first ones they came out with. Long story I ordered these silver ones. I have been cutting hair professionally in a Barbershop since I was 17 years old. I have had my shop now since probably 22 but don't promote much because I have been unable to add new clients for a while now. I'm now 42 years old. I have almost replaced all of my go-to clippers with cordless except the fast feed and Andis t outliners. I have the Andis t outliners cordless but they don't have proper tension and are too loud. I manage to make the cut bulk now by tightening the tension. But they don't replace the original. I have the Babyliss brands and many others and I use them for specific purposes. I only use about 6 clippers for everything. Some are just backups. My purpose in going cordless was to protect my wrists. All the flipping and pulling on cords for long hours will eventually win with time. Trust me. I would say I have more experience and more customers than probably most of the barbers out there to justify what I'm about to share with you. When cutting hair it's about efficiency, consistency, patience, and increasing our understanding of what we are doing. Barbers have to change their focus to this, "use specific clippers for specific purposes". Find steps and keep looking for ways to make it easier a while increasing quality When I first began in the 8th grade, I used one Wahl clipper to do everything. Later at 17 when I asked to cut in a real shop, I had to learn how to use different clippers to make my job easier. It was only corded back then and with lots of power. Blades were sharper because all were properly hollowed. There were no enhancements, no tik tok, or RU-vid to promote. The fast feed has always been the master at blending smooth clean fades. They call it today as shadow blends. It's one of my biggest secrets to getting customers tons of compliments. The Andis master was my go-to clippers also for a long time when doing blends and bulk. I stopped using the masters because they were too heavy and with the cord, it made my wrist sore. Long story, it makes you work harder. I recently went back to the Andis masters, but cordless. They are loud but I figure out how to make them quieter. I use them now only for trimming edges and split ends, nothing more. The master's cordless motor is the most powerful on the market I believe which is why they are so loud. But, I can trim the edges on larger styles and do it very fast and it throws hair like in the past. It makes hair looks crisp because it gets every grain. What I'm saying is to be more effective and reduce time while increasing quality, a good barber has to invest and understand his tools. He has to then, with time, find the best specific tool for each unique purpose. Your review is very good and if you use these clippers for "just blending" as you discovered, it will increase the overall quality of each of your haircuts. Some examples of a specific task. Blading, removing bulk hair quickly, blending, trimming edges, etc. Also there is way more to understand like understanding the difference in blades. Oster fast feed blends better because it has more teeth 26-27 on the top blade thus making the blends look finer. There are three things that make a clipper good: 1 power, 2 the blade sharpened properly, 3 proper tension even on cordless, and all other things come last. A properly sharp blade will make a weak clipper look like a champ but add power with proper tension so bulk hair wants to slow it down and it's a good clipper. Hope these tips helped and thanks again.

@@eiko96 Hey since this review, I have been using the corded and cordless side by side for two weeks now with a lot of customers. The cordless is less powerful than the corded. Because the corded are about 10-15 percent more powerful, they are more consistent with blends and you have to do fewer strokes. The cordless is okay but because I have a lot of appointments, I ended up reaching more for the corded but i didn't stop using the cordless. The issue with the corded fast feed is that it can heat up when use as a primary and this need more than one which is more cords. More heat equal pain at the end on the day or week. The cordless fast feed have black blades that have wider teeth on the cutter making the fades less shadow-looking than the Oster fine teeth blades I have on the cordless. I decided to swap blades to see how it works cut. The fine teeth blades of the Oster leave fewer dark spots to remove. It cut better but the deduced speed made have to work a little more to get the same with few work of the corded. The cordless is easy to get used to but I found that when using it all day, you have to end up charging before the end of the day even after less use. To me, the red light comes on faster than my other cordless clippers. Maybe between how it's motor is designed it's draws more power quickly. For the price, I would say they are too high, but when use alongside the cordless is makes you not to upset you spent so much money. It also helps to rest my wrists which is a plus. I have no issues with its slight size change andafter use it's easy getting use to. The only issue I have is a slight decrease in speed and shorter battery life. They are still pretty decent but they do not replace the corded 100 percent but are good to use alone side a corded version in my opinion. When I get some time I will update more.

I use my Oster 76 for bulk removal and fast feed for fading. I feel like fast feed’s are part of the Oster system and you need something else for bulk like 76’s. Just like trimmers are part of the whole system also.

Fastfeeds snag on bulk. But I enjoy them for detail work. I’m a Andis Masters guy… I started on Wahl Seniors, which are unforgiving but the best on bulk… But give me a OFF and an AM anyday.

They are powerful, they sound different because of the motor.... Adjustable clippers are for fading not bulk... Detachable blades are for bulk

Hey my man! Thanks for the review. I bout the black and silver last week. I opened the box and noticed the lever has a sight play. If you apply some pressure on the lever, it moves, but the blade doesn’t move unless you apply more pressure. I’m not used to that. Does yours do that? Also, is it normal for the double magnetic Andis guards to slightly slide up and down while on the blade? Thanks in advance.

If you like the stylecraft mythics, you should try the 50 cal. BMG. LIGHTWEIGHT with the same motor as the mythics with better ergonomics.

They should be called slow feeds. It’s false advertising. They actually run slow and do not fast. Feed the hair they slow feed the hair.
