Excellent! This is what new barbers or just barbers in general need to know. Because the blades on your clippers can make all the difference in your haircut. I basically work with a pair of entry level set of clippers (the Essentials Combo), the Taper 2000 & the AC Trimmer, but after switching up the blades that originally came with them I get amazing results every single time. These clippers that I got aren't cutting close @ all. I keep a bald cut but these things will take me all day 2 get that. It's like I can't tell if they're actually cutting
I just recently picked up a Walk kit from a local store. It's both rechargeable and corded which is nice. But a couple of the guards "teeth" are either bent/slightly twisted or pushed over some. I'm thinking this had too do with how they were packaged. Is this an issue or still ok to use them?
I love the magic clips cordless version omg. I of course paid more than I did for the cheaper wahl clippers but omg the quality for an extra $20 $30 bucks is crazy! Honestly I know people are cheap but why buy a $20 30 clipper that last a year when i can get one for $60 that last forever! Keep up the good work.

Do you have a source for obsolescent parts for old clippers? I have an old style CMCO Home Pro clipper and can't find the replacement blade set for it anywhere. The 1045 blade set for the newer model doesn't fit.
How can I replace the blade out of the WAHL Taper 2000? Is there a video for that specific one? Also, I dropped the clippers and another razor edge came out and I cannot figure out how that part was in there in the first place.
i currently have the cordless super taper, if i buy the stagger tooth blade (magic clip blade) will it fit onto my super taper as the two screws has a lip on them which is different from the other wahl clipper screws?

One question. Why doesn't wahl put in there description boxes up to what length the taper lever opens to ? For example Andis says from 000 to 1. (Some clippers say different.) How can I know up to what length the taper lever opens to ? I ask this because I need to know when to use the 1 1/2 or if I can skip the guard. Thank you in advance!
Yo! Great videos as usual. Can you recommend a clipper that cuts closer than the Wahl Balding clipper which I use? I cut my hair every two to three days to keep it real short as I am going bald on top. I am not ready to go totally bald so I have not invested in a Trimmer. Previously I used a Wahl Sterling cordless trimmer but as it is not wide enough it took too long to do the job. After three years use I have found that the Wahl Balding clipper seems to be the one which cuts closer, but I am willing to invest in something new if it exists Can you recommend then? Great video guys! I was wondering about the Adjustolock 0000 blade. Its rare, but looks like it would provide a nice fine cut. Would there be a benefit using it for taking down bulk with a clipper guard? Thanks!
The 0000 blade is excellent for skin tight fades. You can use an attachment comb to remove bulk. This may be easier with a clipper with a taper blade however it will work find with this blade.
If I'm doing between 20-30 cuts a day and working a full time 40+ hours a week, how often should I replace my clipper blades? I assume the blades dull like my shears do, and I get those sharpened every few months. Just wasn't sure if I'm supposed to replace my clipper blades as often. I use the Sterling 4 and Sterling 4 Cordless.
Quick question, I bought a wahl limited edition senior clipper, it's silver with a yellow lever and switch, anyway it's called a senior but the blade has 2 holes not 3 which I don't understand, is it a 5 star senior with a different colour-way? I'm confused on by the blade on it, and I couldn't find much info online.
The 2 Hole blade on that limited edition Senior is a fade blade, the same one found on the 5 Star Senior and Reflections Senior and the Magic Clip discussed in this video.
what is differece between the non moving or Still legend wedge blade vs the 5 star senior standard blade besides of course the legend blade having longer teeth? They are both wedge shaped, so why does wahl only call the legend blade the wedge blade AND why is the legend blade called the crunch blade when it does not even come with a stagger tooth cutting blade?

Are the blades supposed to look used? Ive purchaed the wahl wireless 79608 twice from Amazon, and the blade has chips in it, and looks used. Returned both and orderered the same clipper directly from Wahls. And same thing. Initially I thought maybe I was receiving refurbished clippers, but now idk what to think.

With clipper 1 (3mm) closed is 3mm and half open 4mm and full open 5mm???? Clipper 2 (6mm) closed is 6 half is 7 full open is 8 etc etc, am i right?. I would recommend the Wahl Corded Senior. In my opinion, it’s the best clipper made. They’re powerful, and they last forever with regular care and maintenance. I’ve got a set of Seniors from the 1960s I got at a flea market for $20, and they work as well as my modern set of Seniors! If you want a set of clippers that will last you forever, get the Senior.
The Icon blades are indeed adjustable however they will not adjust as close as the Legends. The Legends have a thinner top blade that lies closer to the skin.
Thank You for the answer! As I remember, when I "shave" my face with a cutter, thea blade is nearly perpendicular to the face skin. So, I don't kno how much does it matter the blade thickness on its top. Formerly I used a Moser1400edition (a Walh product too) and as I remember its blade was similar as the Icon's blade, and the achievable cutting lengt was circa perfect short for me. Based on this, I hope that the Icon minimal cutting lengt will be enugh for me. I hope that it won't be wrong

I read that some but not all of the clippers have a "power" screw, and with some it was visible in this video, does the Icon have one? (there seems to be not a single picture on the internet of the right hand side of the Icon, and nobody shows this side in a video either)

Have the Wahl homecare touch up combo and I was trimming my beard and it fell into the sink and 1 of the metal teeth on the top blade broke right off...Less than a 12' inch fall and now I have a broken tooth already. The blade on the Cordless Magic Clip is unique to that clipper. I would suggest something like the corded Magic Clip which has a fade blade on it (lies flatter to the skin).
Sure thing. This is a unique patented blade from Wahl. The teeth on the cutting blade go from tall to short which helps for blending and creating texture while cutting hair. This blade is excellent for removing lines of demarcation when fading.
