i can't find it either....i'm stuck trying to load that spring correctly. i can't figure it out....guess ill just not use the part and hope for the best

Could I replace the hinge to remove the lock button for the blades to the oster octane hinge?

How do I know that this needs replacing to this is the issue? My volt randomly acts like the blades are dull and they are not. Also “Liney” sometimes

Hi! This is a common symptom when the drive needs to be changed. They give lines and act dull because the lever is not giving the blade a full stroke and thus causes those issues. Hope that helps!

I have the octane without the blade it sounds right but once I add the blade it makes shitty noise

Without seeing the clipper myself I would not know for sure, but it could be that the socket on your blade is too loose, which would cause it to rattle while running.
