You can repair tools by dropping them on the ground. Be aware, you also need tools to repair them, so lets say you're repairing your laser torch or soldering iron, you'll need a second one to repair it because you cant exactly repair a tool with it self. It isnt a bad idea to have a set of basic tools stored in a bin somewhere for when you need to repair your main ones or quickly swap out when they get damaged

I've found that field coils never alow me to repair first and usually have to uninstall than repair them.
