My fandom for the Buckeyes is strong, but after finding this podcast in October ‘23 it is crazy strong. I feel I can trust the information and that means a lot to me. Thank you Kirk for educating fans about the reality of football at THE Ohio State University ❤
Let's just tell it like it is. Howard didn't leave Kansas state because he was going to be benched. He left because he wanted to be developed properly. It's not like Kansas state has ever been known for developing quarterbacks anyways and howard still led them to a big 12 title with vastly inferior offensive talent around him to.
That was a problem last year line barely could block it all and wide receivers never blocked down field or never blocked only guy blocked was Cade Stover
@@robschaller9061 do you watch the games? WRS barely blocked and O line was mid if you want to win it all It starts with the line and you have to block
NIL needs to have some guardrails 2.4 million for 3 years is ridiculous for anyone. I 😊understand making money on your Name Imagine Likeness but this is straight up pay for play on a guy that’s 💯 unproven.
Can they put a cap on it though? Hard to tell a young guy that could potentialy have a career ending injury that he can make only so much. Not to mention the fact that there all basically 18+ year's old and could be working of not playing football. It also hurts the smaller school's say outside the top 30 who simply don't have the collective's that OSU, Bama, Georgia etc. have. A cap would help the smaller schools it also would help with bidding war's. Say for instance Oregon and Nike the guy is like 86 and want's them to get a Natty before he for lack of a better term is not around anymore and already said the bank is open so whats to stop them from say OSU, Bama and Georgia all are in on say a top wide out and all three are around say n 3 mill and Oregon could come in and give him 6 mil. There is no regulation so why couldnt they?
Any glaring, repeated weakness you guys point out on film that doesn't get corrected, bugs the crap out of me. Examples include wide outs not blocking, wide outs getting in lazy stances like 'hey defense, it's a run play coming!', always going on 1 with no variation. I could go on 🙂
Marvin was a good receiver for the Bucks but he was timid against tcun and gave up 2 picks out of fear. He cost us the game. He was more concerned about his bougie cleats than battling for the ball!!
Maybe when the super conferences come along maybe they can incorporate a change in NIL. Say for instance and this is just a random thought, maybe they could say NIL is for players who are enrolled, wether your a freshmen or senior are only eligible for NIL. Maybe that could stop the pay for recruiting visits or if you commit. No pay until you play more or less. I mean how many 5 star guys have you seen flame out? You pay them all this money to come and some just never develop. At least that woud stop some of the bidding wars for recruits.
Who is going to come up with it and enforce it? I can tell you that the NCAA wont go anywhere near it... They have gotten destroyed by the courts every time they have attempted to put collars on pay and players.
How does a guy start 17 games for u doesnt get hurt has done everything right was in the dog house how doesnt he start for u please explain that to me cause his doesn’t get introuble where not having this conversation period
You shouldn’t have infighting amongst coaches.. The HC should have a presence that doesn’t allow these issues. On the bright side, it’s nice to have Chip doing the job of the HC.
It's not that serious Day fired and hired his staff he holds coaches accountable but Chip will rip players cuz he's responsible for offense and Knowles The D will get after guys as well this is our season 🏆 COMING
An OC yelling at a position coach isn’t infighting. If that coaches position group is lacking in an area they should be called out for it. That’s the whole point of hiring a Chip Kelly, so that he can be the HC of the offense.
@@jangorh You obviously don’t listen to the show very often because Keenan Bailey got his whooped by a strength and conditioning coach. hellfire would have rained down under Urb’s leadership… It never would’ve happened because of respect, IE, FEAR.
@@jangorh Hartline deliberately doesn’t make his guys block because if there’s shorter runs then there is more yards on the table in terms receptions. Hartline does this because it’s good for receiver recruiting, he can tell recruits he’s going to do everything for their draft stock. Ultimately he did it because Ryan allowed it. This is a failure to govern. I understand most fans haven’t worked in professional organizations and you don’t these intra-squad dynamics.
@@someguyio3654 ……that’s the incident you’re referring to? Dude that was like 6 months ago…. Duh, obviously you shouldn’t have coaches literally fighting but that has nothing to do with now or this video.
Kirk black lives matters. So don't criticize Kap yo for doing what he felt were right. Him being the voice to speak for blacks at that time... GO KAP!!!
Urban Meyer created sucha competitive locker room amongst PG’s.. and Coach Mick but.. Without a badass HC, you’re gonna have behavioral issues. Ya got a “coach” that reports back convo’s to the HC??? That’s toxic, so I don’t see how other coaches can truly respect Ryan. physical fights amongst coaches is disrespectful. Apparently people aren’t afraid of consequences under Ryan.. “sacred cows” like Scoop says. I think Ryan’s actions or inaction shows he’s had issues governing. So, can he ever get that back from the program?
