deadass gonna make a video about it but razer dont want to sponsor and i dont really like clicky keyboard enough to spend my money on it 🤷♂️ smells good
Squashy Boy do u understand why I picked classic layout instead of japanese layout even though im full-on weeb 😂 the spacebar and the weird position of the right side is just no for me man 🤥
*When they got new keyboard* Normal people: *put it down slowly* I have to be careful bla bla... Osu! Players: *Throw it down the table* zxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzx
You had to check Bloody's Keyboards instead of the Razer Keyboard, first of all because Bloody's has a non-clicky opto-mechanical switch option, second because they are way more cheap than Razer, and third because they have more options on keyboard designs. Opto-mechanical isn't really the fastest switch btw, the actuation distance is 1.5mm while the Cherry MX Silver Speed switch is 1.2mm (Razer has their own version and it is the Razer Yellow Switch), the actuation force is similar but the Cherry switch can be lighter if you change the spring. The marketing point from them is the debounce thing, showing that opto switches don't have them, but in reality Cherry MX doesn't have that either because debounce would cause the switch to register the key press many times (this is a phenomenon called "chattering"). Opto does have one advantage over any other switch, and it is that you can drop water on them and nothing would happen cuz there is no metal contact. Sorry for the nerdy comment, the video is great and would've been great if you compared your skills with your previous keyboard with this one. Keep it up, as always!
Metal contacts do debounce, the reason they don't register multiple presses is because of the debounce delay, where it waits to confirm that the connection is made. This delay is why the optical switches are able to send the signal much faster,
man i love the razer huntsman as an osu!mania player ever since i upgraded to the huntsman as my first mechanical keyboard i started doing so much better and the feel of the switches is actually mega nice
when i swapped my blackwidow v2 for a huntsman elite and tried osu again, I also felt a very suttle difference in speed, which was easy to know because it kind of threw me off
People must be in an alternative universe, because, she didn't sniff nor said "smells good", she actually approached the keyboard towards her ear and then she said "sounds good".
Also applies to the cursor controller of choice. If Conradmittn and Riviclia are anything to go by. Conradmittn over here using stock scissor switch laptop keyboards, meanwhile Riviclia doesn't even use a keyboard LOL.
@oh yeah If you are actually from Japan and speak Japanese I don't think it would be worth changing since it would be more of a hassle in the long run typing in Japanese but if you're still interested you could always try importing keyboards with ANSI layout from USA. I tend to do that since the New Zealand keyboard market is very small unfortunately. Importing will also cost a lot as well
The ideal keyboard to play osu is a keyboard that can reset to his original position the fastest and dont require a lot of force to click, cuz then you can have max stamina and faster click speed since it resets itself really fast, my keyboard is really slow to reset, so its almost impossible to do fast maps, since the switch itself isnt fast enough, also the click feel is really important to me, it helps me to know im in time, with my actual keyboard i need to press really hard, then i can feel the rhythm better
Personally, higher actuation=/= speed because of tap technique. In higher bpm I won't raise the key enough for the tap to register so I just get dead taps on things like rapidfires and even reds, the best middle-ground seems to be somewhere between blues and reds.
honestly at a certain stage mechanical keyboards are just placebo more then anything, your not gonna be able to tell a difference between purple lazer & razor greens. its personal preference with everything, find the switch type you like and use that is the only advice i can really give. paying 100€+ for a "high end" keyboard like a ducky is pretty pointless when you can get a really solid 60% with whatever switches you like for 30 - 50€ and even get different pcb keycaps of whatever colour for like 20€. it feels more like a scam nowadays more then anything to get these "high end" keyboards.
Slightly off topic, but the sniper the "White Death" fought his enemies with what was considered obsolete equipment. He knew how to use that equipment though and still bodied everyone else that has "better" equipment. As long as the user knows how to use the tool effectively, shit gets done.
Ok, imagine want to buy something from japan, but you cant, but know a friend in japan, and he can send the stuff to you. Well in this case Buyee is your friend. Remember how I told you to imagine this? *It's because you have no friends.*
