The pilot episode of the Violin Around the World television series. Premiering on American PBS stations in March 2018, it has since been aired over 800 times and counting.
In a feat of musical extreme sports, violinist Daniel Hoffman travels to County Clare, Ireland, and attempts to learn to play Irish fiddle with master Irish fiddler James Kelly in just one week. At the end of the week he performs in concert with James. It's a story about Ireland, Irish music, identity, and the inner journey.
