There are 4 parasympathetic ganglia in the head (on each side), and the otic ganglion is one of them. What I really want to do is explain how the glossopharyngeal nerve (CN IX) innervates the parotid gland. Let's try.
We'll also come across the trigeminal nerve (CN V), the facial nerve (CN VII), the mandibular branch of the trigeminal nerve, and various other nearby goodies.

From an anatomic point of view, the middle ear really is a sort of "extension" of the pharynx, isn't it? That's why the glossopharyngeal nerve gives it its sensory innervation, and why the Eustachian tube is called the pharyngotympanic tube.

I was biten by tick and full with blood was fallen on 30.04.2019 and my doctor did not gave antibiotics for 30 days to wait test.After month,got Neuro symptoms.From 19.06.2020 to 19.07.2020 i was to IV ceftriaxone 30dyas x2gramms. Last days of IV i took azithromycin 1 pill-stomach pain ,started high pitch tinnitus 24/7 untill now. When i clinch my jaws or press the sound is increasing.It is near 8khz. Changing stabbing pain in ears,hyperacusis.... Also i constant muscle twichings,pins and needles and knee pain,joint pain. What can be done for the jaws and tinnitus which is severe symtpom for me?
