I teach human anatomy and do a bunch of other things in my life. I thought I'd use this channel to share some anatomy thoughts and include some of the other stuff too. RU-vid makes it easy to share.
I produce 2 types of video: talking about anatomy and personal vlogs.
There's an anatomy teaching playlist if you just want to look at those videos. Do not use these videos for medical advice. I'm talking about human anatomy, but you should meet with a healthcare professional in meatspace for proper medical advice. Never use a single source of information for learning and assume it is free of errors. Use multiple sources and your own brain. These videos are not endorsed by the university at which I work. I have a PhD, I am a scientist, I cannot offer medical advice.
This is a lovely delivered and easily followed lecture, using the model aided the visulisation, I like that the detail of its function was added , I would love to have seen the gland in real life IE during surgery, it would be nice to have quick discussion on how transgender male to female lower surgery can affect function and examination etc, (as Neo Vaginal cannal now runs between recutm and prostrait} as this would be relevent to gynacologists, urologists and GP's who may have to manage this patient group. But great information transmission thank you🙂
I got my report back from the radiologist after a barruim swallow I have a circogneal bar a significant thickning of the circogneal muscle as I have had gerd for years what does this mean? Inspiration is funny, you never know where it will come from or when and what changes may come from it and how many unknown people may be inspired from your efforts. I've been attending You Tube U since I retired during the pandemic, stumbled upon your site one day a year or so ago and found your anatomy class fascinating. You have a welcoming presence, clearly articulate your subject in a friendly style and I have been following you since (also love the biking & climbing vlogs). I had picked up a Holes essential Human Anatomy & Physiology book at the thrift store quite some time ago but when you started your histology section I dug it out and really started to study it. Looking at the human body from a cellular and microscopic viewpoint is absolutely amazing and has changed my life. I'm eating healthier, stopped drinking, and started exercising regularly and have lost over 15 lbs. in 3 months, I could go on and on but I want to thank you and let you know that your teaching has touched, inspired and improved my life greatly. Sincerely Greg McKay
I can not express how much I love your lectures. Anatomy has always been my favourite subject, but your lectures and teaching style make me fall in love with anatomy all over again. ❤ It helped me pass my exams and cleared my concepts. I am forever grateful to you. Dr. Khizra.
My son had an emergency appendectomy when he was only FIVE years old, and I've always wondered WHY this happened to him. It was more traumatizing for me, than him, because I didn't know if I would lose him. I'd like input as to how not having an appendix might affect his future health (increased risk of cancer, other diseases?) and are there supplements, such as probiotics, which might help him?
