Otterbox Defender Pro Installation Tutorial 

I just received my Otter Defender Pro and there are like NO directions except for those silly things on the box. Thank you for the tutorial, you saved me a ton of grief, got my Defender on my phone in record time. Double thumbs up !

Yes!!! Finally a quick and complete video on installing the Otterbox Defender case. I had one many years ago but forgot it was more than just popping the phone in the case. I also never knew the holster could be a kickstand. Thanks!

I used this tutorial for my Otter Defender Pro for the iPhone 15. I have to say, intitially trying to decipher the directions on the box was really pissing me off. You relieved my frustration. Thanks.

Thanks for actually explaining and showing how to open the Otterbox and installing the phone. Had to go through a few videos before finding yours that actually explained how to do it.

Thanks for the great video. The very first step is hard to find and I wasn't about to pry it apart with a screwdriver and ruin it. Great job on demonstrating the clip and how it can be used as a kickstand. I would have just thrown it in the drawer until I saw that feature. Excellent video, everything I needed to know, nothing I didn't.

I’m poor and had to save up for a cover of this magnitude. You have the BEST help video!! You made me feel good about doing this and I went step by step with you. If I could give you a hug I would. I was so frustrated 😢 because I am disabled and I’m not as smart as I used to be. Everyday I feel dumb or that I’m getting dumber. How could it be this hard to put a cover on I said. I was starting to break down mentally again. Then I watched you and did it. Now I have my Otterbox Defender on my iPhone. All because of you!! I’ve had several otter boxes. Love them 90% of the time. Only issue with them is the top piece of plastic always seems to break right of the charger port, other than that they are great!

I just bought the Defender Pro for $19.00 @ Walmart during Cyber Monday for my new iPhone 14. What a great deal! Even w/the video, I had a hard time prying the Silicone Case loose & thought mine was a different model, but eventually found a spot to start with. It was easy after that, thanks to the great video. It sealed really well.Not sure I will use the kickstand, but the belt clip may come in handy, although not sure I will trust it to hold a $700.00 phone. Good job by TX Tool Crib!

i swallowed my pride (I'm a retired millwright) and did a search for video help to get this Otterbox separated without breaking anything. Thanks for making it worth while. Bonus edit: You're a Millwright! Love the knots.

Bless this video for really helping me to figure this whole process out. I was given a Samsung S20 as a hand me down with an otterbox already into a full year of corrosion from a heavy smoker who likes to sit in 92 degree or hotter trucks, so the button literally MELTED off for me to lock/unlock it, forcing me to use a pen till I saved for a replacement. My only update to this, be sure when you are trying to disengage the second and third sections (the clips, as he calls them), be sure you flip the otterbox so the back is facing you. Otherwise you really won't have a good position to get them to separate. Once I figured out I had it flipped, it became absolutely free to get it to pop out.

This applied basically verbatim to the case for my Galaxy S24+, including the clip without the arrow by the camera. Thanks!

My favorite case for my mobile phones. My family uses the Commuter versions of the Otterbox. I have used multiple Defender Otterboxes over the years, and they are brilliantly designed, and will stand up to just about anything. They are worth every penny you pay for them. The only thing extra I have done is to buy a screen protector for my mobile phones. Otherwise, they are simply the best case you can buy.

Omg thank you so much ! 🙏 I didn’t know that the Defender Pro came in 4 separate stupid pieces so I was trying rather unsuccessfully to get my phone to seat correctly inside my new Defender Pro. This went on for what seemed like hours until I stumbled upon this nice little tutorial here. I was beginning to think that that it was a manufacturing screw up that made my Otterbox slightly smaller than the other models smh 🤦🏻‍♂️

I've had Otterboxes since iPhone 5 or so. Hard to beat. I highly recommend. But, just to do something different i guess, when I got my 13 I went a different route. Hope I don't regret it.

THX, damn near broke my phone in half trying to force it in there... looked like one piece v/s 3.

I used to roll with the Commuter line of OB. Defender series is too much for my needs. Still OB is a solid choice. However, like another poster went with something else for my 13pm. Hope it holds up! 😂
