You are so very welcome and that is why I put them up. It wasn’t to monetize or be popular or anything like that at all. It was really to just help. My fellow Wargamer‘s and model is for inspiration and ideas. I am glad that you could use it and then it motivated you.😂
Paul. You’re very welcome, is quite a beautiful army indeed. But I think the real army was just as colorful when I was in Istanbul. I went to the army Museum, and I was shocked and amazed at how colorful and varied the uniforms were.
what a beautiful and colorful army Kevin. Very inspirational! The Janissaries did use muskets even in the late fourteenth century based on some of the chronicles and they did fight from the wagons. It was the preferred method of defense against cavalry charges instead of pikes as the Europeans used.
Thanks phil it’s nice to hear from you. I got a little lazy doing videos in August and September. I thought I’d throw a few more up. I’m glad you liked it.
Kevin V nice, think you are correct re infantry when I see Janissary units they seem uniform. The cavalry being either tribal light archers or higher ranking Turks would have provided their own gear. Just got about 300+ Ottomans from TK miniatures on eBay think they are minifigs got them as they came with artillery and I’m a sucker for artillery. Have 430 Early Imperial Romans with 8 scorpions - probably too many artillery but anyway love artillery have some WSS troops with triple barrelled cannons ( one reason I got French that and red gun mounts). All the best Lewis
Simply amazing!!! The painting with so many colors for each figure is beyond my imagination! Just incredible! By the way... I do have a question about your armies... most seem to be in BIG stands (which I actually like) but does this go with your Black Powder, Hail Ceasar rules, etc... rules you use? Just curious...
youtube sometimes makes nice surprises with suggestions, i had no idea there are historical tabletops warhammer like . now that gave me an idea about warhammer: since empre in warhammer basiacly Holy Roman Empire with its flamboyant lansdknecht like units where is their prime rivals Ottomans with janisssaries and great bombards ? great job by the way they all looks beautifull only thing your army needs maybe MORE canons
Thank you very much. Yes there’s a whole world out there historical gaming. Warhammer is a spin off of the original wargames started back at the turn of the century. I like both both historical and fantasy. But I love painting and building and researching. It is made me wiser about our world, it’s current politics. They say, sometimes looking into the past will give you an idea of the future. I love this aspect of our hobby. I am so glad that you wrote me. In fact, I do have more artillery for this army about eight pieces, but actually forgot to put them out, silly me. But you have a keen eye, and that’s a good thing.
Kevin awesome as ever.👍 You forgot the stakes - was that a missed stake? 😂 I just got 300+ of these guys off eBay only because they came with about 12 cannon and I’m a sucker for artillery any maybe can oppose my Polish lads. Anyway all the best Lewis 🙏
@@koganinja100 OK that was a really funny pun. I do have steaks and all that stuff that I built, but I didn’t put it out because I didn’t think about it because it’s just to rain and not the army but I loved your pun made me laugh.
I think if I was in the UK, my collection would be twice the size that would be terribly dangerous. But you’re always welcome if you come to Atlanta to come stay for a day or two. It is a wonderful army and extremely colorful.
