Amazing game! And I gotta say, I don’t think Joe Tessitore gets enough love! That dude gets fired up! I’d be ok with him calling the rest of our games this year.
@@aarongonders7278 I honestly like him more than Kirk and Fowler. Gus and Joel are good too. But give me Tessitore over McEllroy and the guy he’s usually with (can’t remember his name at the moment) anytime!!
Realistically, there were only two coverage busts this game. One where Kani got burnt up the middle, another where woodi (sigh) got burnt. I blame the play call on the kani bust. Brought the safeties up close on a TD throw. It was man on man. The other successful deep throws were just really good catches by the WRs that wouldn’t happen most of the time. Auburn WRs probably played the games of their lives
For those of y’all hating on Litrell, and I get it, take a moment to realize that calling plays for a unit using players who didn’t get the majority of reps in practice. That’s normal in college football. This is a mostly crippled lineup. All 5 receivers are out, the TE are transfers, the offensive line hasn’t been healthy at all though not as bad as the WRs are. These players aren’t gonna be able to execute as well as those they replaced who got the most reps and that’s gonna affect play calling. All of these factors limit what your offense can even do within its playbook. Btw RMT…he’s getting some sort of award this year.
There a reason those are incomplete. The same reason the Auburn QB was peeling himself off of the turf repeatedly all day long even when he would make the throws.
not trying to defend him, but we are missing our top 5 recievers due to injury, missing Tatum due to injury, and the OL is dogshit. not all of this is on Litrell
@@calebpendleton9056 my thing is the offense is so predictable. No creativity. A top tier OC would still find ways to move the ball down the field regardless of injuries. Luckily we have Hawkins who can run, but the more tape on Hawkins, the easier it will be to eventually shut him down as the season progresses. Litrell would make a great pee-wee football OC, not an OC in the SEC lol
7:46 is one of the best QB baits i've seen in awhile lol OU showed em Zero Blitz which means no deep safety's and man coverage across the board with all LBs blitzing in the middle ... the read is always the slant when you see this look ... if the LBs crash in that slant is easy and wide open money ... except the LBs were faking blitz then dropping and dropped right into that obvious slants path brilliant and smart call
For all the "Sooner Magic" silliness, Auburn gave the game away. If your idea of "magic" is someone tripping over their own feet, you must love participation trophies too.
You’re right nothing magic about an outstanding play call On defense and Lewis making a great snag of the ball then taking it to the house. Nothing magic about Thomas beating the left and right tackles on consecutive plays for sacks. No magic involved in holding Auburn to one score in the second half.
“Auburn gave the game away” lol excuses man excuses. No Oklahoma stepped up when they needed to and were the better team in the second half. Oklahomas offense and defense stepped up when it mattered and that’s what won them the game. Auburn had the game in the bag the first half and then gave up and Oklahoma came back stronger. They underestimated Oklahoma and that’s what happened. If your excuse is “auburn gave the game away” everytime they lose a game that just means Auburn is a shitty team and I feel sorry their fans. Give credit to Oklahoma in how they played in the second half.
No they got outplayed. 2 score lead is never safe at the start of the 4th. Play all quarters. One gives the game away if they were dominating which Auburn was not
