Honestly really happy with this win. It weirdly felt like a dominating NFL style of win where you can't run the ball, need good clean quarterback play, and then strong defensive play. So this is what SEC fans have been feeling for the past couple of decades and I think I'm going to enjoy many more games just like this one for the rest of the season.
I was kind of worried that OU didn't score more points... Then I remembered all the big plays ruined by the penalties of "being OU". "15 yards for "being OU" on offense. Still third down."
@@SmallGameBoomer The offense still needs to be able to execute, a few bad or missed called shouldnt stop us from laying 30+ points ESPECIALLY when Gabriel was missing wide open receivers costing us 2 TDs
Not to take anything away from the B-Cats, but it was a couple of offensive miscues that kept this game closer than it actually was. However, I tip my hat to the B-Cats for showing up and making my beloved Sooners earn it 😉 This was a quality win on the road against a better than decent team. 👌
@@alexupton8769I mean it started this weekend lol, next up is ISU and they aren’t looking great even tho they just beat OkState. I say we roll them 42-14
@@angelopapas3100 yeah, he looked a little off for whatever reason. Nippert can be a tough place to play; he knows. He hadn't won before this in that stadium.
It makes it hard to gauge when these refs are allowing the defensive backs to mug the receivers all the way down field. Not just this game. That Florida Tennessee game was the worst I’ve seen in a long time.
It’s frustrating, for sure, but I suspect we’re holding-back on play calling until F-Texas week. Call it a sneaky suspicion. I just hope we’re ready to open ‘er up in two weeks!
14:41 I was wondering and asking if McKinsey got to play, because I hadn't been seeing him. How much has he gotten to play?. It's strange because he's in his 2nd year.. Same with Sawchuck. Sawchuck's dad seemed to be annoyed on social media. I don't blame him.
Kobi has gotten sum solid pt just behind stutsman rn will probably be the main run specialist lb next year. Sawchuk had to be better.. I understand frustration but he has to show more. Walker is clearly the best back along w Major and that goes for Barnes too he has to get more explosive and better feet. As for sawchuk work on vision and better balance
As I been saying the past week the lack of a no pass rusher is going to hurt us against good team I'm thinking the best choice we have is letting stutsman get some time on the edge would be good secondary would eat for sure on PR I would let Barnes get some reps an as I been saying for weeks get stonger involved please smh also Qb1 accuracy just not there frfr so this week is C-
The pass rush was amazing against Cincinnati. I don't think we were watching the same game. Emory Jones was under pressure on like 40% of the snaps. That's a stat, not an estimate.
For all the complaints about penalties from Oklahoma fans in this game, there's some irony that the touchdown Oklahoma scored that made it feel like this game was over happened on a blatant uncalled penalty when Walker just pulled DG forward into the end zone which is still illegal. The Bearcats execution inside the opponent's red zone has been atrocious in essentially every game after eastern kentucky. Some of it is on unacceptable decision making from a super senior covid QB, and some of it is on the offensive line for not executing protections properly. They haven't scored a red zone td in almost 2.75 games.
Just my 2 cents worth, but after Leinart was assisted into the end zone against ND, that ol’ rule about pushing or pulling a qb in went out the window across the country. Not saying that’s official, but prove me wrong.
