@@morringreenbank7172 exactly! This storyline made no sense at all. They took away her potential for darkness and in the same moment the Apprentice was like "Now you have to guide her and keep her in the light." The why did they have to take away her dark potential in the first place?! 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻

they did that because the curse was coming and didn't know what was to come. Also, THE author intentionally wrote this part. so technically snow and David wouldn't agree to do it.

@@samcochran8203 ya and snow had vision of Emma as a kid that Emma had a darkness in her and killed snow if they kept Emma that’s y they sent lily away so Emma can’t have darkness in her and if they kept her she would have a good life with her parents

Well actually they do have an excuse. Isaac (aka the Author) forced them to do it without them realizing. He basically controlled them by writing it

@kenyagirlywell just because they committed one bad thing in their past doesn’t mean that makes them bad people not are their heroic deeds all lies.

That's an understatement, what Snow and David did to Emma and Lily was practically altering their destiny, essentially taking their free will to choose. Honestly, Snow and David got off easy and didn't really suffer the consequences of their actions. I mean this makes other villians look like cuddly kittens.

What drives me crazy the most is that Snow said "it was worth it". They don't even regret it and keep trying to justify their actions with good intentions. Like, take responsibility. You made a mistake and LIED to your DAUGHTER even when you knew that you would pusg her away!

Arturo Blanco exactly, just because she could have had the potential for darkness doesn’t mean she would become dark. She should have just been raised “good” and it would be fine. And same for lily. It’s totally messed up for snow and David to assume how maleficent will raise her child. It’s just awful and I wish they could see how wrong it is instead of having Emma forgive and forget yknow

@@replustltz9113 Well, yes and no, he may given them the directions to The Apprentices house, and he may have forced The Apprentice to send Lily to our world, but Snow and Charming did what they did by themselves, without any Author pulling the strings

Clearly the Charmings didn't think Emma would be capable or hardly had any faith that she would be good on her own.

@@diggersam8865 At the point they took Lily, Regina had already threatened them with the curse and Snow was pregnant... so the upbringing wouldn't be an option... and to save everyone, Emma needed to be good, so they had to force it on her since they couldn't be there to raise her to be good.

Jamestopboy I know but in a way it interferes with Emma’s freewill and ability to decide her own fate savior or not.

@@diggersam8865 But that's the point - she *can't* choose. The savior *has* to be good (or have their fate removed by the sheers like Rumple did), so Snow and Charming *had to make sure she was good*. Emma literally has no choice from the day she was conceived to the day she dies.

I kinda wish Snow and Charming's decision had had the effect of pushing Emma INTO the darkness. Would've made a great point about how manipulating your kids to try and control who they are very rarely has the effect you want.

What is wrong? What is wrong to me may not be wrong to you. It's abstract, not clearly defined nor delineated. Also, some people don't care about right or wrong, as long as they get what they want.

franny fel I think Emma carries more resentment towards her mother than her dad because the vision Snow saw was one of darkness & Charming saw the vision of pure goodness. Because Snow saw the worst in her daughter & tried too hard to control that outcome, her worst fears are coming true. I think Snow only wants to see the goodness & not accept the wholeness of Emma, because there is light & dark in all of us. Snow was really trying to prevent Emma from breaking her heart, not her turning dark.

Nikka Rose noted also i'm wondering if Snow did tell of her vision ---what she saw because Charming did asked her in FTL but she just said it was bad and didn't tell him what it was so i believe it will be address maybe Emma will pushed her to tell her vision why she go to that drastic measures to make her good.

Nikka Rose I say those visions being reflections of their feelings of becoming parents more than anything else. Snow knew they have girl and feared if she know how to be mother. = evil teen girl Charming didn´t know gender and always dreamed having children. =innocent baby

Aurinkohelmi but the thing is to me it sounded like Snow and Charming didn’t have faith that Emma would be good on her own, and the apprentice pointed out that a loving upbringing would do so there no need to remove Emma’s darkness because what Snow and Charming did to Emma and Lily was taking their ability to choose their fate.

She didn't know Cruella was defenseless.

Abimael Marin True, but I simply mentioned the line because of the foreshadowing, even if her killing of Cruella was 'unintentional.' Whether or not Emma knew Cruella is defenseless, we all know the lengths she will go to to protect anyone she loves, especially Henry and Hook. I believe she would still harm maybe even to the point of death (defenseless or not) whoever got in her way or threatened or family because that's the way Emma is.

Kayla Gaines it’s not her fault Emma didn’t know she was powerless it’s like saying a guy with a gun has ur son sure the gun maybe empty but are u really gonna take the Chance he may not also Cruella is not defenseless or innocent she killed her own parents and used innocent animals to do all her crimes -A.D.

@J Will Emma didn't know that Cruella couldn't harm a living thing, that she had magic from the author preventing her from doing so

If Cruella could she would have killed Henry which was what Emma thought she would

People are mad at them because unlike most other villains, who all felt like they didn't have any other choice, like with Rumple, the only way to save his son was becoming the dark one, Snow and Charming knew they had plenty of other choices, and they've never been people to shy away a lot from doing the hard choice, the right choice, but they chose the easy path, the wrong path, because they were afraid of what would happen if they failed to guide emma the right way, but I feel it was mostly snow's fault, because she chose to see the worst in emma would come to be even if they did try to guide her right, because of her vision from the unicorn. Also the fact that they literally stole Maleficent's baby, forcefully took another mother's baby, because they thought there was no way that baby was going to be doing anything good in it's life with maleficent as it's mom, and they made it so it hardly ever had a chance to do the right thing, or be a good person, but lucky for them, their mistake was rectified in the future, when Lily came to storybrooke, and she started down a good path with her mom, and clearing herself of that darkness, but still, they failed being good people that day.

Emma git mad because unlike hook and Regina they didn't own up and say they did a wrong thing til they had to hook and Regina opened up to it and changed she said she wouldn't be mad if they hasn't lied and pretended to be pure and perfect when they have done things wrong
