The fact that Emma is in all black and Regina is wearing a red jacket for this scene elevates the metaphor to such incredible levels it drives me insane.
Seriously, I think Regina is the only one who can bring the worst and best out of Emma. She's the only one who can see through her walls and the only one who will always understand her...
That's not true. In case You forget, Emma's own parents see through her walls. Cursed Snow can see it through her as we seen it in s1 when she sees that Emma has feelings for Graham, despite Emma's stubborn denial, which Cursed Snow is not fooled one little bit. Remember?
I agree with you. Regina would be the first person to have Emma's back but she would also be the first one to call her out if she does anything wrong and/or irresponsible
Definitely the best Emma/Regina interaction in forever!! So many parallels too! The roles have reversed and there is so much character development evident here in Regina and even in Emma. I'm really enjoying this season :)
And Regina had to relive her most painful memory for nothing when Emma seemed to know it wouldn't work. Yet, Regina was more upset about Henry being hurt.
If Regina is telling you to be good while comparing you to Cora and then you go and make Rumplestiltskin a hero than you have definitely become a villian
I kinda love/hate how there's such a role-reversal here between Emma & Regina in comparison with season 1. Regina's the one who truly cares about Henry now. Emma does too, but like season 1 Regina, she's justifying cruel acts in the name of "the best choice" (which it most certainly wasn't)
+BATTY3459 I agree that there are parallels with season 1 but there are also parallels with the middle of season 2. Regina demanding to see Henry and Emma denying that request.
Actually, The ONLY reason shes even the dark one is because the power was about to manifest itself to regina and regina had just found true happiness. Emma sacrificed herself to save regina. Even when shes the villan she is still the hero.
What a powerful, raw and painful scene that truly showcased these two actresses' talents and their character's growth in such a versatile relationship as two friends and two mothers! Mind Blowing.
0:19 "Emma, there is nothing you can't come back from..." Regina would definitely know! The people of Misthaven are incredibly forgiving, if you're willing to seek it.
Not everything is forgivable. And what the writers wrote were lies, which they always do. Fact is, Henry never actually forgave her for what she did there, no matter if it didn’t keep them apart for long. We saw no such forgiveness, and we never will.
@@shermanlee4037 I was talking about Emma as an example for how Henry never actually forgave her for what she did to him & Violet, no matter if it didn't stop them from getting back together, and I was pointing out that not everything is forgiving. That's all I was pointing out.
+RaeSone100 It was an manipulation top set the dark ones of the reals ! it was a good plan of her play the villain by frist take everyones memorys of hook beeing the dark one and than play as if ther did something to her and now she wants revenge! than she repairs the sword alongtheway Saves Rumple but so that she still locks like the villain just to save her and hook and returne to her friends and explain everything
@@shermanlee4037 It's not about sticking to the same storyline lol. If you're building up to something big, make it big. Not something random. It had a lot of potential, the daughter of the light turning dark..but got wasted.
@@ankolikakumar5701 We're saying the same thing. In later seasons Adam and Eddie would start an interesting story, offer a hint of building up to a big event...and then suddenly drop it and start something else, start a buildup...then drop that and move on to something else.
This is my fave seaosn sofar :) love everytjing of it and the twist that she turned into the dark one bcaus hook nearly died and than turned him into The Dark Hook One
Regina saying that “there’s nothing you can’t come back from if you just tell us.” is insanely beautiful and a wonderful compliment to all the growth these characters have shown.
ok emma never crushed the girls heart OBVIOUSLY shes still alive so comparing her to Cora is stupid...regina just liked being on the high ground for once...keep hope alive emma im still fighting for ya
Actually it's not stupid. Emma betrayed her son and broke his heart and then tried to say it was for the best. Cora betrayed her daughter and broke her heart and then tried to say it was for the best. They both hurt their children and broke their hearts. See the parallels now? No one ever said Emma killed Violet. And Regina deserves to be on the high ground for once. All those times when Regina wanted to see Henry and Emma wouldn't let her because she was evil. Well now it's Regina's turn to say no.
+Godaime Tsunade Senju actually it is because Cora killed Regina's true love so she Cora could get revenge on snow whites mom and selfish reasons. Emma although it wasn't right took the heart but never damaged it n used it to free Merlin and felt remorse and tried to rectify it. Cora let evil cloud her judgment fully and used Regina time and time again for her power since she was born. Regina wasn't allowed to see Henry those times because she was trying to kill their family as always and wanted to keep Henry to herself. Yes henry has every right to be mad....but its reaching a bit far
What we saw her did were evil things. Risking Belle's life; what she did to Merida without apologizing to anyone; creating a monster and nearly damned her family and friends to hell for her greed; and what she did to Violet and Henry. Those are enough villain moves. Pretending to be evil did not excuse the evil deeds she had done. She wasn't even forgiven for that by some people like not forgiven by Rumple and Merida. And just because they weren't kept apart afterwards, Henry didn't actually forgive her for what she did to Violet and himself.
Along with everything else, I think there's still a part of Regina that enjoyed slamming that door in her face, and being able to tell her that Henry didn't want to see her. These two are friends in later seasons, but that maternal rivalry never 100% stops.
Her parents are the King and Queen, and they gave that right back to her. The laws of the outside world just don't apply in Storybrooke. The townsfolk don't care about the laws of the Land Without Magic, they take their orders from Snow and Charming. Regina can't exactly go to the outside authorities, it would be suicidal, and the adoption itself was illegal in the first place. So in practice, at least from the time the Curse broke to when she became the Dark One, Emma _can_ tell Regina whether she can see Henry or not, no matter what the outside world would say.
@@NickyHelp Why would it? If Adam and Eddie are running things, why wouldn't they repeat the same mistakes? Look at what happened in Season Seven, when they were finally able to indulge themselves.
@@shermanlee4037 They are not running it anymore. Remember, they said in interviews since 2018 that someone else can run it. With new showrunners potentially running it, like any new show runner running a tv show or movie, things change and get retconned. What those two liars enjoyed has failed anyway and was never a big hit. And they will lose everything they enjoyed when someone else takes over potentially. It happens all the time in many media. We seen it. And what you saw in s7 would not continue on because of its failure and sunk ratings. And failures don't continue on, but get retconned in the future. That's the way it is.
That was when my hope for regi a became faith in the begining i hated regina but to watch her though the seasons and her battle with herself made me fall in love with and hoped that she wouldturn good regina's character was my fave in the whole 7 seasons and the waoman who Played regina is my fave actress love u regina
yes, me too in the season 1 I hated regina (she was the evil incarnate) until I discovered that she's been manipulated while of years and I've had pity for her, and in the season 2, she has wanted to become kind for Henry, and in the season 3 she has finally started at becoming a heroine and i started to love her
Instead of that outfit that Emma has on, I wish they just had her on a leather jacket (like her red one) a white shirt and black skinny jeans. The one she has on makes her look weird.
@@YChef33 yeah there’s no denying she looks good. She always does. It’s just that it threw me off. But I especially love the moments between dark Emma and Regina. Her dark look brings out something different. I also wish they did more with the storyline
@@naiahenley8893 absolutely. I wish they would have done more with her storyline. Especially in SB. Too much was done in the EF which kinda killed the true revelation of her new character as the Dark One because she didn't grow up there...
And you Miss Swan wronged your own parents for nothing when all this time, an Author wrote and made them hurt the dragon ladies against their will just so he can hurt them both because he blindly claimed they represent his bad bosses (which wasn't true). And He confessed it. You on the other hand did that crime by your own free will, just like how you let your own mother almost die and letting your own little brother almost get killed by the assassin of Bae, your real man. Some hero/savior you are. More like a zero/failure.
@@BeautyQueen2023Xif she would have killed a child that definitely would have darkened her heart. There’s no coming back from that. A savior would no longer exist even if Emma snapped out of it.
I get Emma was with Hook and Regina with Robin Hood. But their chemistry was like so powerful. Like I wish they would’ve ended up together instead. They would’ve made such a strong wlw couple, just like Tara and Willow were for Buffy
And after all this time.... she still pretends to be better than Rumple. Give the poor guy a break. Maybe help him through the darkness... I don't know. But stop pretending that Rumple has much of a choice.
It doesn’t matter if she didn’t kill her. What she did to her was evil at a defenseless child. Living proof that she is not mother material for that. It was an unforgivable and deceptive move too, as seen and proven there.
You miss Swan said you wouldn’t harm a defenseless person last season. But you did was pretty harmful. And you unjustly gave your parents a hard time for nothing. Unlike your own parents, who were actually altered against their will by the former author who hurt them, the sin you pulled was by free will like all the forces of evil. You’re such as liar.
I know probably a lot of people won’t agree with me, but l don’t really like Regina. She always does what she wants and she can be unpleasant and annoying for me. She did so many horrible things, and now she is accusing Emma, without even knowing the whole story and treat her badly, without even let her see her son, the son that she gave birth. She left her alone, the moment Emma needed them the most. I mean, isn’t Emma allowed to make mistakes and bad decisions. And don’t forget she was the dark one, she had no control of her actions, and there was only a very small part of her that remained good. Of course, it is my opinion.
And I have 3 songs from movie for Regina The Swan Princess 3: Bad Days Ahead A Troll in Central Park: The Queen of mean Descendants disney - song: If Only
