Good to see a Ouigo video. As you say it's a no frills high speed train. SNCF modelled Ouigo after the business plan of budget airlines (like EZY and Ryanair). Ouigo TGV is aimed at those who might take a budget airline. A newer Ouigo Classique caters for those who might car share of take a long distance coach.

May I ask which side of the train I should sit when leaving Paris? I noticed that at the start of your trip, you're on the left side but how did you get views of the coast and the sea (which should be on the right side, correct?) Please advise, I'm getting conflicting information online. I want to book a seat but want the sea views.

Hi mate, thanks for watching - appreciated. For this journey to get views of the sea sit on the right hand side. The train emptied at St Raphael-Valescure so i moved and manged to get a seat on the right.

7:00 This is not the river Isère (as claimed by your subtitle), but the river Rhône, seen from the large bridge with the characteristic fence shortly before entering the station Avignon TGV. At this point of the travel, the Isère has already joined the Rhône near Valence (about 100 km after Lyon St. Exupéry).

@@TheGeordieTravels Never mind. Although I have been there for nearly 20 times on vacation, I had to look it up on a map to be sure. For instance, I am also not sure which rivers flow through Lyon. Is it Rhone, Saone or Isere? I guess it is Saone entering Rhone, whereas Isere joins Rhone later in Valence. There are lots of rivers there.

Hi mate, thanks for watching. Unfortunately not as there his np train station in St Tropez - the closest station is St Raphael where you can get a coach from I think.
