You know you're cat🐈is 17 and you don't have much time left with him so maybe you ought to pay attention to him and the person that said the "slow blinking eyes says it all he loves you and wants attention" THAT'S TRUE!
Spend time with him. He loves you. You don't know how long he has on this planet. You do not want to have regrets. No matter what's going on in your life, make time for this gorgeous cat who is clearly showing you he loves you so much.
My beautiful Abbey is now 22, blind and deaf but still a havachat. She doesn't go outside anymore but she's still happy. She screams very loudly when she wants to be fed no matter what time of day or night. I'm at her beck and call.and I wouldn't have it any other way. I found her and her siblings on a train track when they were a week old, she is the last baby. 😻😻😻
I had 2 rescued cats both at 17 yo. They had each other and then a stray joined us and they all kept each other company. Pets were required but not demanded. Maybe he just needs a friend. ❤
He is the cutest cat in the whole world. Love that cat. Hug and kiss him all up and making him feel special before he goes over the rainbow bridge. I’m frightened he won’t have much time left. Hugs to all.
As our adorable feline family members become older, they can certainly be stubborn or set in their ways very similar to humans as you can appreciate. I honestly think your sweet fur baby simply wants to be held and kissed and shown lots of affection by you and there's nothing wrong with that my dear. I hope you have many years with your adorable buddy but keep in mind, you don't know how long he has and your final years with him showing love and affection will be the memories you will always have to remember. I wish you all the best, thank you!
@@TheDennys21 Thanks... I'll tell her as soon as she makes her way to the couch. Someone apparently said she was as cute as a little monkey when she was a kitten... and the name stuck
Mine passed at 18… January 8th 2024. Never left my side. Visited me in the hospital. I miss him so much. He looked so much like your cat. Love you Hunter.
That's why cats are thought to be feminine symbolically, especially given modern behavioral patterns: they're "independent" and aloof until your attention is elsewhere, and then it becomes _"NOTICE ME, DAMN IT!"_
Um, fellow cat owner here. I feel sure you know they sleep most of their days. It would not hurt to spend more time with your fur baby. Have you any idea how old he is in human years? He probably hurts all over, among other things, and needs the comfort of your touch. Please don't hurt him by ignoring him like this. Edit: I almost weeped watching this.
If you spoke cat, you would understand that he is yelling at you to get off what little grass is left so he has somewhere comfortable to roll around in the sun...
Cats age falling in love with you. Don’t ever forget…they know how to leave and survive. They stay for YOU. Honor your cats love the way it should be done, not acting like he just is some silly old thing…
Please love him… if you have a heart you will seriously regret when he is gone that you didn’t give him all the love you could. I know he seems like he is being a pill right now but he just want your love.
Please don’t be haters. This is just a snippet of the Mom and Cat interaction. I’m sure she gives him lots of love and attention and just wasn’t thinking about how the internet reacts to things when she posted this clip. My last surviving Cat has found her voice and it is annoying at times. But she was silent her whole life and now at least she is trying to communicate with me by teaching me ‘cat”. I just refuse to learn apparently.
There is nothing worse than losing a pet and realizing you didn't pay attention to what they needed from you. The guilt is horrible, and it never goes away. When we don't do our best with our pets, we not only let them down, we let ourselves down, because we are not being the best we can be. Knowing a pet only has a short time left should make pet owners cherish every day, because the day will come and he/she will not be there. The pet dishes may have been thrown out, and their favorite sleeping place will be empty. You will not have them rubbing on you in the kitchen or jumping on the bed to wake you up or sleep with you. The emptiness doesn't get resolved, because it will haunt you. You have every opportunity to let him know how much you appreciate the fact that he shared his precious life with you. Let him know that you are a better person for that.
Cats age differently than dogs. The first 2 years are equivalent to 25 human years (12 ½ each) and than every year after 2 is 4 human years. So this gentleman is in his 80s.
Damb, that cat is screaming for attention, it obviously is bonded to you. That’s so sad that you don’t see it. My cat would actually attack me if I ignored it like that, In a loving way , but would make it clear that she’s not taking any bs.
