The part that touches me the most is you building a 2 bedroom apartment for each of them at BAG. Many African don't look after their kids that way, in fact, it is vice verse. It is the children that are expected to build a home for their parents. This is what makes it hard for us to create intergenerational wealth, you never get out of the matrix this way. A big thanks to Rick and Sweet Juicy mama for breaking the circle.

Well, Isaac you may be right to a certain point, if African parents are in financial difficulties of cause they will ask for support from their children. I am from the western part of Ghana and my culture and tradition are to take care and be responsible for our kids in all aspects of life. Building a house or generational wealth for the family has been part of African culture for so long.

Not all African countries. In Uganda both are common based on someone's ability. Wealthy parents here usually put up real estate for their kids

What a beautiful family. It's good to hear their own perspectives. There will be good and bad things that people like or dislike depending on their personality. One constant is that the people out there are very friendly and the food is fresh. I dislike the mosquitos...lol....I can't wait to meet you all.....😊😊

I love this Family! I am so happy that they chose The Gambia to settle down in Africa! I am from Senegal and my father went there for Work, over thirty years ago, and my family stayed there! I have migrated to the United States over twenty years ago! But I love it here, too! I live in the State of Pennsylvania and my children are still going to school here: my oldest daughter just Graduated from Temple, Biology Major and my second daughter just Graduated from High School and heading to College this Fall! My youngest who is a boy is in Ninth grade and I am staying until he graduates High School and I will be visiting my Home Country The Gambia more often! Right now, we visit every four years! I still have my mother and my siblings there! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Life in The Gambia! I am so Inspired by what you do! Peace, Love and Light to all of Yous! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I think the question about the apartment is something they will think about when they get older and realize what a BLESSING it was to have parents like you...who are investing in their future.

Soo true, when I finished college I just wanted to move out n get freedom. My parents offered a one bedroom but I was dumb dumb 😂. Years of renting later I realise I would have saved a lot then.
