The Fante formed an alliance with the British which a lot of ASHANTI war captives were sold into slavery. AKAN fought wars to acquire land, and expand their kingdom and superiority, not to gain slaves. However, these battles lasted for years, and British other Europeans took advantages of this situation by selling ammunition in exchange for war captives which will then become slaves.

Three young black sons and my eldest a young black daughter. I could never hate! Been through the ranks and still pushing! We have many discussions where some have to see the others point of view. And where some have to see that there is nothing new under the sun. Most of what people are going through has already been done. How does that equal hate? What it should equal is sharing. It's all about respect.
