Despite being a fan of AI myself, I prefer hand-drawing. I was never afraid of being replaced by AI. I prefer craft my own craft by drawing traditionally and digitally.
Amazing video I totally agree with everything u said for us artist I don't think it's the end I believe if u learn to accept the A.i as a tool and combine it with ur workflow you'll be amazed what you'll create with it. A.i it's amazing and scary but we just gotta learn to adapt with it.
Call me a dinosaur, luddite, or whatever (I guess I am), but I really can't accept this. I just regret not being born 10 years earlier and not dying of covid last year. That's it.
An Art style is not intellectual property. That is simply not true. You can copyright a specific MOTIVE or painting. Maybe a specific character like Spider Man. But you can not copyright a certain style. And that is good and important that you can not. It would mean somekind of band would OWN Metal or Jazz. 😂
Another really awesome video AI can be a really great tool for artists, but unfortunately for now they're being used for malicious purposes, like just generating images and straight selling it. But in a near future, I can imagine people using as an option for quickly references, do you prefer to put some time to find inspirations on Pinterest for your work, or generate an image(maybe images) pretty close for what you're seeking? In the end, everything is a tool to help you get to where you want to go. Thanks for the video once again.
Thanks Yukito! Well said, it’s a shame that we live in a world where the new technologies always attracts abusers first; be it ‘’crypto schemes, weird NFT trades, or in this case AI.’ And definitely, generating an image is extremally more powerful than an endless search. We live in exciting times, indeed.
so, if everyone can make their own AI-generated images easily and free. Why do I need to hire/ask/pay AI prompter? I can just generate it myself right?
Exactly. The only reason I could think off is if the ''tokens'' were expensive/subscription based, but as time goes on the alternatives would compete with better pricing.
I have absolutely no interest in using AI tools. That is not why I got into gamedev and 2d/3d art in the first place. I don't think truly passionate artists (or at least draftsmen), got into the field because they wanted to get a finished artwork. They got into the field because they loved the process. As for me, I have already starting pivoting to another field. Luckily for me, I know programming, it would be useful in other fields I go to. But as a gamedev, it is the end of the line, I no longer have interest in it.
@@GameArts1 I am thinking of doing cybersecurity (already have a background in it), or jumping fields entirely and doing something like plant biology/gene editing.
@@Tenco-tn8pf Nice outlook. Gene editing is also really cool and there is so much growth in the future for plant bio-tech. Imo those software controlled greenhouses are quite interesting as well.
Remember people, never support ai arts with your money or praise as they already destroying what is great about humanity which is "creations" and quality craft with thoughts and life knowledge that brought us happiness. AI art doesn't have any clue or idea for our inspiration and greatness as much as a living human itself. What corporations and ai programmers have done is not okay at all. It's getting worse and worse of how they can just insult us all with these ai arts techs that will make our entertainment media worse.
Sharp eye! 2:21 is human, this is art from Tatsuya Yoshikawa, artist of Breath of fire and some of the DMC games, his signature is on the right (intentional, some other art like e.g. robo kai, is also human art). The other at 3:44, is as far as the source I found it on, AI. I also hope it's AI, because I won't change my opinion on what I stated in this video.
@@GameArts1 I'm not saying that the one on 3:44 is a good image, it's surely overcrowded and bit absurd, but I can't spot the usual AI-ness in it. Like for example, take the girl in the foreground - in the usual AI artwork the laces from her blouse would weirdly merge with her hair or something. And the characters in the background would have some mistakes to it (even in its current version I see it always screwing up thing that fly in the background). I can totally imagine this being done by someone who wanted to draw their OCs with their pokemons playing in the ocean. But idk, maybe AI's gotten good at not making those weird mistakes with the hair and clothing... But if it's AI, then this is officially the first image that got me fooled lol.
@@GameArts1 I looked at a couple of trending ai images on instagram today and yeah, guess AI's gotten a lot better, at least when it comes to anime girls. I browsed through a couple and in many cases there are barely any mistakes. Kinda depressing to see that. There's many I probably wouldn't be able to tell (and up until know I had no problem telling if it was AI) Although, two things 1) We don't know how close the result was to the desired effect or if it was just a happy accident (I noticed that the best kind of images come from very vague prompts) 2) We don't know if there weren't any touchups done to it to fix the mistakes. In most cases when I ask people they say they do in fact do photoshop editing to the images. Anyways, this is kinda scary, but when you think about it, AI works best for the very generic style (both for manga and conceptart). Personally, I try to make my style a bit of a blend between manga, european comics and 90s american comics and haven't yet seen anything close to what I'm aiming for.
@@ArucardPL Indeed, chances are there was an end fix up on this particular images like you said. And yes they are getting close but most AI are still quite ''Gatcha game'' art, not really special or anything due to their abundance. Your art sounds like an unique style indeed! and that's exactly what you should pursue if you want to stand out among the crowd.
