It's been months since we visited our backyard UTV track my Dad and I built! The storm completely destroyed all our work. This was very sad for us because of how many countless hours we have creating every part of the track. In this episode my Dad and I rebuild our track and end it off with inviting friends over to ride our UTV's!

This time make sure to put in drainage rocks and culverts when needed. Nothing else put a ditch on the side of each stretch just like you would see on the side of each highway

I build MTB trails. Gotta think like water. Make sure the track has out-slope to give the water a place to go.

That sucks,, but everything happens for a reason and I know you guys will find a way to make this into a positive wether it be improving the track, or something else. Gotta remember it’s you’re first time taking on this challenge of building a track so there will be flaws and interruptions, I know you guys will find an answer to this just stay positive debertis

Brad I am a 25 year veteran heavy equipment operator I will be more than happy to fly down and help fix your track and the weak points need some boulders set so it doesn't wash away and a diverter pipe for water:-)

I’ve laid pipe for 10 years, I’ll come put some pipe in and a retention pond. Need drainage points around that track to make sure water doesn’t do that, then make sure it’s got somewhere to go.

Find out where the river started to flowed and move your track or divert the river flow for next heavy rain!

Wow!! that is insane. Definitely shows you the power of water. All you can do is play with dirt in the dozer again, which sounds like fun to me. Thanks for sharing what happened. Love it when you dad can find a place to insert his air guitar skills.

Maybe you need to think about future shit like this and make a area for water to run off and end up into a big ass pond and make that pond huge and with that u can either keep it for future run off or incorporate it into the track some how

_"Cry me a river!"_ Doug is brutal. 🙂 Going down there during a rain storm might get you washed away. Wear swimmies! Damn, real sorry your track got jacked. Miller's using one of them there metric shovels.. Hope this can be prevented in the future.

Notice the ground with grass on it isn't affected the roots hold it all together. You need staw mats or irrigation ditches.

If you keep an eye on the track when it rains etc. you can work out where to dig trenches to divert any water in the future, lining the outside of the track with rocks will help drainage and limit puddles.

You should cover the track with grass seed boys and then let the utvs re path the track to prevent erosion

Look on the brite side atleast you have equipment to fix it . When it rains hard here in so ca. I live on the side of a mtn & I get to fix my driveway by hand & shovel . Hey make a water trench around the utv for boat racing & have 2 tracks .

Wow what a mess I wonder if you get the track to where you want it then spray it with calcium chloride to stiffen up the surface. That may elevate the rack washing out again.

That looks like you had an earthquake there that is some serious erosion. You need to deal with some drainage there for that doesn’t happen again.

You need to plant aggressively rooting grass to hold the dirt. Easier than irrigation and diversions

Built the track in the middle of the water drainage plain and simple obviously. Should have checked that before building and see when it rains what happens

Need to put some corrugated black pipe with a slit sock on it to drain the track.

Cut and bank everything a lot more it looks flat like you just scraped the top off every turn looks flat need to invest in a roller pack the dirt really good will help with rain to

Your going to need to cut drainage ditches in on one side get ahold of Dirt perfect watch some RU-vid videos remember everything goes downhill so you’re lowest points will need to be cut for drainage
