Wow, a great video of the local area and what a collection. Water Buffalo's! and it looked like a rotary in there as well. I feel like a teenager again. Thanks!
Wow. What is there to say? Great ride, nice scenic countryside, and NO cops. No deer running across the road like here in America. Plus, the garage of dreams, my friend. Ride safe and keep that rare bird in top form. Cheers!
Is there another bike that sounds quite as sweet as this motor, the way it picks up revs? Each to their own. This would make my Desert Island Discs of bike sounds!
I appreciate the response. Power and desempanho are exactly as I imagined possible. Is so I'll have my 500. I'm raising money to accomplish my desire to buy a RZV500R prepared (maybe for you) around the year 2015, when I will be retiring. I hope to be lucky enough to get. I love your videos, your workshop and restored their bikes. Good luck to us all. The future keeps us good times.
In the shop its an project from vj22 with an RG500 engine with street legal documents, now used for racing I hope to hear from you again, best regards Erik Potze
Hello, the maximum depends the money you want to spend, it can run up over 145HP. It is more tahn from a RZV or RZ, the speed could be well over 270kmh depending transmission ratio.
Das Knattern und der 2 Takt Geruch fehlen mir,außerdem die Vibrationen der Drehzahl und die brachiale Kraftentfaltung 🙄🤔Ein glücklicher Junge der Erik Protze 😎👌
Loved the video, great how you show us all. What is the maximum possible preparation for a 500 two-stroke? What is the maximum power output in hp engine can take a RG500 or RZV500R? What maximum speed can reach a 500 well prepared? And you, what is 500 faster than already prepared and piloted? I thank the possible answers, because I know what you mean two-stroke motorcycles.
Not now as it is midnight here now, I will take some pics tomorrow and send them to you, I assume its very old cos it ways a ton, lol and it has spoke wheels, I can see some sparkle green paint underneath the black police paint
Well I think that looks great, you would be lucky to find many that haven't been crashed and written off because they couldn't handle the power they were putting out, the tires were quite narrow and the brake discs were a bit small but on a straight road you just had to open up and hope the road didn't curve to much up ahead lol. I'd love to get my hands on that standard looking YPVS , I had the N model (no fairing) and I f ing loved it, I've had bigger bikes than that but for shear grin factor it was pretty hard to beat. was that a Suzuki 250 X7 at the back? all my mates were after them when I was a teen in the early to mid 80s they were very cheap after the law changed about learner licenses' and anyone who could afford one wanted the LC 350 and one of them with a pair of microns and K&N air filters is my favorite sound when it comes to engine sounds, slurp and burp.
Looks Great, have you added the essential Steering Damper ? and it looks like you were on the road to Argentiers (Belgium) Parla Vois at 5:18 The RG Sounded sweet as ever Parlez Vous We Revved it more than that Whatever Parlez Vous It Drowned out guns and all around and made a wondrous Superb sound All together Parlez Vous...... (2018 Remembrance WW1) RG500 CH (1989) Pepsi-Suzuki "Kevin Schwantz" GP Race Replica, Interestingly, the last of the street RG500s (the H model) had almost the same power output as the original works racers!
thank you for your reply Erik, yes i will keep in contact now, i had a look on your website and i like what i see, in the next month i will place some orders with you, just need to plan the project and work out exchange rates and shipping and things. kind regards Willie Dekkers
hallo Erik, 1hr ago i became the prawd new owner of a gt550, in good nick, but will do complete restoration as this particular bike belonged to the traffic police and the nr plate is nr 1, normally the nr 1 is reserved for the major so i would imagine the bike to be worth a lot if i do a decent job on it, i will collect as much info on it as i can find before i start, will contact u in January for the parts for this bike and my RGV,s, importing is a real pain over December so i,l wait for Jan
i like, i like, very good job friend. and is that a vj23 in the shop, i have 2 vj21,s about to start rebuild, will need a parts supplier, will try to e-mail you, when im done with them i want to upgrade to a vj23, greetings from South Africa.
When uploading a video on youtube. There s the option to "correct" the video, through stabilizing it by youtube. Dont do that. Dont ever do that. It produces this kind of video qualitiy, that we can see here. As if you are watching it on drugs. Just a little advice for you ;)
Erik Potze paint job , side pannels , seat , swing arm . It just looks worse than standard . Im'e sure it goes well enough and probabally handles better . The back end looks really awefull
Erik Potze i mean standard is good . If a bike is altered then it should look better than standard . In my opinion this RG 500 Gamma dose not . And i love 2 strokes , ive had lots of them
