Best 2 stroke ever made, I had a 500lc in the 80s, maxed out with finance at the time, saw a new Rg500 in skoal bandit colours, really wanted it but couldn't afford to swap, but always knew the RG was the daddy
Excellent, they were beautiful images and the positions of the cameras. Thanks for the ride. His best time was 2:09 right? Wonder.Just watched the special Suzuki GT750. That machine
I recognize that sound and tacho. Not many RG500's around any more. I think this one has had some work with you shifting at 11,000+ rpm. Thanks for the video!
Stak jij daar nummer 34 voorbij ?
Braking at 250 yards! Trust me that ain't even close to.the fastest lap. Don't worry about the slack gear changes mate, also you need to be keeping it on the boil never below 8.6k rpm. Nice to hear but I found this very frustrating from an ex racers perspective. So much more to be gained everywhere. Sorry but give me the keys 😎
That Suzuki Tranny Won't UpShift...Until Ya Give That GearBox some Clutch to Let it *Shift* Out of CurrentGear. (Unless Ya Lift That GearLever with about 80+ FootPounds of ToeTorque!)Then it'll Ruin Fast.
Engine braking over a long time is damaging the engine, because less fuel at high engine speed means less lubricatication, when it is needed most. Early downshifting with a little short burst keeps the engine lubricated and cool and in the effective speed range.
Deany Setyawan not sure if you’re being sarcastic but one of the big advantages of a two stroke is the lack of engine breaking,if you were being sarcastic please ignore this...
2 strokes dont like engine brake because closed throttle = less fuel to cool and less lubrication, but engine speed is still high. i think thats the point Deany was trying to make.
Not a lot of engine braking on the RG500 but brakes were absolutely awesome , twin piston 260mm sintered pads front, don't use rear, I did once Isle of Man, nearly big mistake at end of Cronk-y-Voddy Straight !"
