My son passed away three days ago. I’m trying to find a way to just function from one hour to the next I picked up my tablet and saw the Ryland and Shane Dawson. My son introduced me to Shane Dawson videos and from there I found Ryland. thank you for occupying my mind for a short period of time today I need the distraction.
ryland and morgans dad is amazing and such a hard worker and so knowledgeable, kudos to him checking the barn that looked sooo not easy! between him doing all he does and morgans house just wow! that man deserves an award

I would flip the living area and bedroom. I'd rather enter into a common area, then a bedroom, that space feels private to me. I like the idea of the bed room being tucked back and out of main walk ways. Plus the room you did as a bedroom is bigger! Everything was beautiful tho! 😍 think about switching those rooms! 😘😂

You’ve been inadvertently teaching me about interior decorating, Ryland. We’re moving in a few weeks and I cannot wait to put to good use some of the things I’ve learned simply by watching you. Both of you are inspiring in your own ways, and this is just one of many things on that list.

Get yourself pool noodles, yes, pool noodles, and make a slit in them so they wrap around the piping. Very helpful. We do that in our home for the winter but you can leave it up year round!

My mom passed away unexpectedly July 29th 2019 and my dad December 11th 2021, and I miss them so much and still dealing with their passing, and your parents remind me alot of mine although mine were much older. Your parents are amazing and Shane's mom is so sweet. Enjoy every moment you can with your parents ❤

I actually really like the fancy pants clock where the live, laugh, love sign is because it matches the hanging lights in both rooms. It’s super beautiful! I do hope you got that desk and didn’t get a dining table!
@@jillmarie4240 anytime my husband needs any tool or remodely type thing my dad has 10 of them lol! He used to do demo on apartments and saved every door, window, cabinet he ever ripped out. 3 car garage and workshop full of stuff 🤣 it's the best! Thank goodness for our dads!

You might look into having more insulation in your barn everywhere. Where I live over half the winter has below freezing temps and we never deal with frozen pipes. Hopefully you can prevent this from happening again each winter.
Put a small narrow table or just a shelf behind the couch in that little area and add a small lamp that gives off a warm glow when turned on. Make a little bar or coffee bar where you had the desk/table the previous owner left. You don’t need a large dining table since there is only 1 bed for 2 people and on occasion someone could sleep on the couch. That spider looked like a small wolf spider. You might want to have a pest control co come out and treat the barn and possibly the house because if you get animals in the future you won’t want to be dealing with them being scared of spiders.
The clock looks great where the live laugh love plays well with the golden ball light fixtures in the kitchen but it also looks great above the piano … now we’ve not seen the office so hope it looks great where you’ve chosen to put it!
I can't wait for your mom to be a grandma, I think about how much my own son loves his grammy and how amazing your mom will be to a child! she is such a blessing Ryland!
Your Dad is so awesome!!! Always there to help with the house stuff! I remember him reviewing your home inspection list! Plus I am so glad Morgan has him on her side too!! All the crap going on with her house, permits, city, contractors, etc., etc., etc., it is so nice to know she has someone knowledgeable and protective on her side!! Bruce, Vicky, Grandma and Teresa are the best cheering section! (Glad I didn't forget Shane's Mom, she is certainly part of the cheer team!!!
Chiming in as a tarantula owner: All species of tarantulas that are endemic to North and South America are what we call “new world species”. All of them have less potent venom than the old world species and are more likely to run away and hide from you than to bite you. The only way a tarantula will bite is if you pick it up or attempt to squish them (which I absolutely do not recommend doing either). The worst thing about new world species are their urticating hairs, which can be irritating to the skin. Their venom is only deadly if you’re allergic. Otherwise, they are considered not medically significant, and often they deliver one dry bite as a warning if you do attempt to handle them incorrectly. On a side note, that barn house is amazing!! 😍

Friendly reminder for everyone- anytime you leave your house for a period of time… shut off your main waterlines! Even if your a renter or live in a apartment! (Yes some apartments have main water shut off). Leaks, floods and freezes and it’s a nightmare!! It can literally save your home and possessions from being completely destroyed. Even if you have insurance the time and effort to clean, repair, replace… it will ruin the vacation or wherever you went too.

When you live in a place where there is a cold/snowy winter, you either needs to close the water main and flush out the pipes OR you need to leave the heat on in the winter, not too high but warm enough so pipes don’t freeze.
Love you guys but Ryland’s non-stop mention of the how “small” the space was made me cringe so hard. It’s literally bigger than some family homes with a full gorgeous kitchen space.
Pull the living room rug up against the wall with the window. The sofa is hiding it, and it’s really pretty. The sofa will still be on much of it. Get a generous size coffee table. It needs to match the scale of the sofa. You could get an upholstered one, so people can kick up their feet. The nook behind the sofa is perfect for a floor lamp. Lighting that corner will make the room appear larger. I can’t wait to see the rest of it.
I live in Parker too and wolf spiders are the worst. There’s so many around here! If you find holes in the ground with a little bit of web surrounding the entrance, that’s where they live.
Why does Shane have to make everything about himself just like when ryland put a painting up on the wall and Shane had to draw a heart for it to pop out and now the couch like Jesus ryland can’t have any credit for himself or have an opinion...
I think the couch and rug are too similar in color. You need a pop of contrast so you could do a really fun rug. Also behind the couch in that open space you could put a small sideboard with a lamp or vase.
You should breakdown that wall a build a rooftop deck for the hotel! Also I think a Desk is more valuable then a dinning table. The table will be to small and people can just eat at the coffee table. Or get small TV Folding Tables to take out when it’s time to eat.
