Hi guys, because of you my husband and I started carnivore. I am 71 years old and he is 65 years old. I am extremely overweight, and he is not. He wants to join me and support me. Thank you. We bought a box at Costco. Saved big time. Wish me luck❤❤
Awesome! You got this Queen! I'm only having smoothies at the moment to try and heal my chronic pain and sleeplessness. I've lost 5 lbs in 3 days but that's it. If this doesn't work, I'm thinking about trying carnivore instead. Wishing you & your husband a successful journey.🤜🤛
On day 94. I've seen more improvements in my debilitating mental health issues than 20 years of other treatments. Never going back. I'm a housebound agoraphobic and I have started an Agoraphobia July Challenge to leave my house everyday. I've done 8 out of 9 days. O can't remember the last time I left the house everyday for a week, it must be 15 yrs ago
Dont give up on her, if she sees the changes you will be experiencing it might inspire her. Until then, Hang in there. We hope your carnivore journey improves the quality of your life. ❤️
She's got to do it in her own time and find what she likes to eat. When the student is ready the teacher will appear. Example so many people love ribeye. It's been well over 2 years for me and I'm still not one of them. If I had to eat ribeyes I would not eat this way. But that's just my personal preference.
I love the way this way of eating is, my husband is doing it half hearted. I am going to keep on going. He says I am an extremist. Oh well, I just realize my “Bigeminy” heart arrhythmia is gone. Dr Ovadia said it was the inflammation in my heart. Now why would I want to go back to that. You have to find your “WHY” you can do it!
My girlfriend sees the huge benefits in me the last 5 yrs on carni but she doesnt have the discipline to keep it up. Her unhealthy eating is ruining her health and she spends twice the money on food as myself. Some people just never get it.
@@robertl2227 Never say never. Just keep doing what you are doing. If she changes, she changes. If not, it's her choice and she has the right to make that choice.
Thank you for sharing such an encouraging video. My husband and I are on carnivore for 5 months now. We are in our early 60s but we are seeing great results. My pre-diabetes and fatty liver are reversed, pain and inflammation is is lower. My husband has been a diabetic for 20 years and he has been able to come off many of his meds and his numbers are dropping in to healthy numbers. Our overt cholesterol has risen but HDL has as well! We feel so much better. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thanks 😊
Hi SnS!! I've just come across your channel recently, and been bingin' ya'll. I've been carni-ish for 17 months. I do love the simplicity of it. I am dying to know how old you are Steph? Steve always says his age 60, but I haven't heard you say. Not kidding you look in your 30's!! So bright and youthful looking. Coming sincerely from a 52 y/o pro-aging female who is all about longevity and living my best life. Vids please on how navigating out to eat and family/friends gatherings, etc. Seems like it's no issue for you all to not to want to succumb to carb/sugar ditch. I still struggle at times. God bless you guys!!
I've been on carnivore 1 yr in Aug. Swelling/numbness in my hands is gone, lost 23 lbs.I don't get sun burn either which is totally weird. My daughter & son in law are going to start this woe I'm so excited for them.
I enjoy beef…hard boiled eggs & enjoy a few bacon strips. I eat salmon about once a week . I still make egg cloud bread for top/bottom hamburger bun. I enjoy eating shrimp too! Long live carnivores! 🐄🥩🥓🧆🍗🥚🍤
I love the videos you put out. It's been such a journey for you two. Each time something happens or improves, you share how it all went down. And it's mind blowing. It's obvious how important it is to have your spouse doing it with you - from watching you two. I feel bad for my poor hubby. He is in bad shape. But he says he won''t risk his health trying carnivore. Nothing I can say or give him to read will sway him. So I have to let it go. I'm so happy for the both of you. Coming up on 1 year?? Is that crazy or what!! OMG.
Thanks for sharing! I started eating this way a year ago and I’ll never go back. I’ve used a grounding sheet for a long time and I like it. In the gym and sauna 4 times a week. Keep kicking butt!
@@dizzywillow451 Awesome! We are digging the grounding, we especially like the daily barefoot walks. Thanks for watching and you keep kicking butt also.
Your shingle story is so fascinating to me!!! I had them coming up on 3 years in August. I STILL have pain on the bottom of my right ribcage which was numb yet very painful during the outbreak and itching across my right back where the blisters were. It’s been so frustrating and I’m lead to believe I’m just one of those people that this happens too 🤷♀️4 to 6 X a year oh my gosh you poor dear, I can’t imagine that. After having them that one time I wouldn’t wish them on the worst person in the world it was so painful and awful! Mine lasted about 5 weeks until I was more comfortable which made me miss the end of the swimming and hot tub season that year!
WTG ! I watch your videos and it helps me get back on tract, My husband doesn't do keto or canrivore but he eats only omad most of the time, his first meal of the day is like 1:30pm. But his diet makes me want to eat carbs because that is what is in my face, I used to eat bacon alot then I realized it was a food I wanted to eat all day , I watch Dr. Lisa Wiedaman carnavore doctor and she tells her story and that's when I learned about trigger foods. I have had an aversion to meat like hamburger and find that is a trigger food for me and so if I fast longer that goes away then I can eat beef again. As kid the men used to fish alot and fried trout was so good with the skin well I forgot about that and when you mentioned the Salmon it brought back memories of how good and tastey the skin is. I have also learned that sardines lower triglycerides and I can get along with them. Dr. Annette Bozworth explains the sardine challenge. With your journey and all the other carnivore ketovore out there, one day I will be on the right path. Thanks so much for sharing your tips and information of your journey.
Hello , I been ketovore for 16 months, and have lost 140 lbs. But when I first started I was eleimating foods and one thing I found that I won't touch again is Almond flour and whole almonds. I broke out with hives around my neck and chest. That when I said no more and I just enjoy meat, fish (sardines, salmon, scallops) I can tolerate fatty pieces of chicken thighs and Pork belly and bacon and of course beef, chuck roll and burger. I also been using a vibration plate machine , its a whole body workout ( its what the astronaunts use up in the space station to keep in shape and I just started using red light therapy and that help with pain and skin issues.. I walk around bare foot all the time now and it feels good. Except in the winters , I here in Oregon. So that out. Thanks for the tips.. Like I say... Keep riding the carnivore wave.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving all of us an idea of how long did it take to feel results...not see results for weight loss...but start to feel noticeably better. I'm on day 6 & want to give up because I feel like garbage but after seeing your video I need to give it time. (Hoshimotos & Myasthenia Gravis - muscle disease. TY❤
Don’t give up yet! I am on my third week. Feel lots better on arthritis pain. I want to make 90 days to see what it is like to feel good. Hugs. We can do this.
I also just want beef with the exception of mixing venison in with 73/27 ground beef for burgers. Eggs daily in the dash cooker either hard cooked or poached.
I'm loving you both. I've binged watched your videos. I'm carnivore I'm trying to heal my arthritis and Elher Danlos. Are you still using your grounding pads and sheets xxx
Love you too Catherine, We are still using the grounding mats and going on a daily barefoot grounding walk. We actually crave it 😂 We hope the carnivore diet improves the quality of your life. 🙏❤️
Hi Steve & pretty Steph….maybe add a little calf liver to hamburgers for eye health vitamins A…I just started…added a little when I bbq burgers today.. maybe 2 times a week…
Totally agree with meat revulsion when you first start. I had carb flu really badly- and I just couldn’t stand the thought of eggs or meat. So essentially I just fasted and as you say- after a day I got hungry and bacon and eggs sounded great!!
Finding you didn't want to eat duck after eating a lot of it wasn't a matter of just sticking to beef, it's a matter of whatever was in the duck that your body was craving became satisfied. That is true of all the changes in taste. Whether you are able to enjoy those things again will be dependent if you need those nutrients again.
You guys are helping me. Steven, you are sort of like me age wise. I listen to carefully to see it I match you. Steph, I was like you when I saw that bone broth gelatin …….it was gross looking and right when I thought that you said to the camera …to me it’s gross, I can’t believe I am liking this I is so gross looking. I have started eating bowls of ground beef and steaks. I’ve bought a breaking knife and my first chuck roll at Cosco. I have been eating butter when I get hungry and within 20 minutes I am not hungry any more. I learned that prime has more fat than choice from you. Do you guys use evoo or avocado oils? Thank-you! I was told all my life that fat is bad for me. Crazy I am letting the Holy Spirit guide me through decernment and you two are part of my journey. I am 67.
Can you do a video on caring for your meat boards/ cutting boards? I bought one of the eating platter from your links. I too have autoimmune (asthma, Hashimoto, Achenbach syndrome). I had Shingles 3 times, starting in my early 20,s and I’m now 75. Trying to double down on carnivore. Also got the Dash egg cooker and lap tray.
Hi! All we do is scrape the board with a plastic scraper into the trash can, then we spray with soap and use a quick scrub brush and hot water and rinse and dry immediately with a towel then sit the board on its side to air dry. Only once have I re-oiled it just for the heck of it with this--it says it’s good for 1-2 years. (I oiled it with this the first time, then one time since). amzn.to/4cDkZC2
great video guys i am now 1 week into the carnivore diet and am down 12 lbs am shocked and pleased going to do 90 days and hopefully till next March 2025 doing this for weight loss and to reverse my type 2 diabetes and get the pain in my knees to a 1/10 from the 10/10 it was when i started am 59 years old cheers all good luck from Vulcan Canada
A few weeks back on my bi two week Costco meat run I bought a rotisserie chicken. I ate one leg, thigh and wing and my dog got the rest. The crispy salmon skin is where the fat is so I understand that but I tries your air fryer beef fat and that’s addicting, filling because of the fat but I have to watch myself on that. I don’t eat as many ribeyes as I use to cause I got tired of them but Chuck steak and Chuck eye I never tire of. Great video as always. 👍
i enjoy cooking, i enjoy making pies, pasties, rolls and stews... if you get bored of certain food then you need to change how you prepare and cook it... one thing that is fact is the US have more chemicals and additives in food than any other country... you can compare UK foods with US by going to one of the stores that sells UK foods and compare ingredients... if you know what your 5 a day are you can put them into any meal... this is what i have each day... 5 a day in every meal... the point is if you dont vary your diet or your food it gets bland... you get bored of having boiled potaos on sundays so chang it have fried potato in a spicy sauce... but then again some people are just too lazy to prepare and cook meals... they rely on the taste of junk food and chemicals...
I have found that I have to have variety on the plate or it is a no-go for me. I allow myself a cup of coffee at home with 2 tlbs heavy cream and one cup at work because I work nights.....when I hit my 90 days I will see what happens if I incorporate cucumbers/pickles for the crunch.
I am in Canada and our medical system is quite different. I do not know how to calculate ldl to the US. My test was last Friday July 5th. My results are shocking. I have been eating ketovore for 160 days as of my test. My ldl is 679, and the upper range as normal is 300. I expect my doctor will be very upset with me. I plan to tell her, when I can get a test that measures the particle size, then I will be concerned. They do not do that test here. I have read and heard many times that cholesterol in the blood does not relate to heart disease.
Duck is too greasy for me. I like lamb. I agree I had a half of a sourdough bread with peanut butter and sugar free jam and I wanted to eat all the bad stuff after that. Geesh. Wow addiction! I had a half of an apple and it didn’t do that to me. Must have been the bread. Did you get the Shingles vaccine? I love watching your guys and when Steven laughs at what you say. Funny 😂
I get what you guys are saying!! We are the same! Have yo have something else once in a while, but can’t have it back to back,, haven’t freeze it! Beef, any time any day!! Also dehydrated fever fat!! OMG!! Delish
I absolutely love your content you guys are the cutest ever couple and so addicting to watch. Could you please send me the link to your rebounder please?
Recently watched Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken and it really turned me off to chicken. At least cows get outside to graze. Finding a local rancher who treats the animals well is the way to go if possible.
I’m not on this diet but I’m telling you I used to love pork but I could care less if I ever eat it again. Taste buds do change because I never liked avocado and now I could eat it everyday. I’m chalking mine up to old age. 😂😂😂❤❤
So, if you start eating some carbs again, and they ailments start coming back, does that mean you are basically imprisoned in the carnivore lifestyle? What if there is a beef famine of sorts, like they are manufacturing in Europe and you can't get beef anymore, will all the problems we used to have come back? Brandon Biggs predict there will be a massive famine coming up. I don't think pure protein will be available for me or most people. We will have to just eat whatever we can find.
Boa noite StevenSteph! Que tudo dê certo em sua vida! Que Deus te abençoe! Fica com Deus! Que tudo dê certo no seu Dia a Dia! Que você receba muitas bênçãos do Universo!!!
I wouldn't be to hard on yourselves. From Traditional Chinese Medicine viewpoint, both duck and lamb are very warming proteins. They are best to eat in the wintertime. So you might get your cravings back again.
I’m 40 days into the carnivore journey I have you ever bought a half or a whole cow I am debating that or getting a Costco membership. What are your thoughts?
Hey sweet 'soul-mates' - we made a comment a little while back, and we had not seen your vids for quite a long time...We were watching you mostly when you had your precious dog and going to the FLEA and Yarding...Moving forward after many months, We click in and observe that you are no longer DD, but have moved forward and pursuing other avenues, and we must say, we were so relieved to see that you were no longer going into the 'trash' to make a 'part-time-living'...Oh how we worried about you both contracting diseases or getting bitten/cut!!! = And NOW, we get to see you both after all of this time and we are once again 'worried' for your HEALTH/WELL BEING'...Each and every one of us needs the 'nutrition' that is placed in this precious 'GARDEN' and is meant for us to 'survive on''...PLEASE, read The Word and LEARN what this entails...We percieve that there is sickness here and only making 'meat' your primary source of survival is NOT WISE, but only a (FAD)...Hugs and Kisses and Prayers sent...:):)
What did you do at first when you had meat aversion? I get it so bad. Seems like everything makes me nauseous. Did you just not eat at all until you were hungry enough where you could eat it?
I am confused with this diet. Your doing it for autoimmune and inflammation but I was taught that too much animal fat can cause inflammation. Also, what do you do for fiber intake to regulate your guts bacteria? Last thing you want is colon cancer from bad gut health.
I'm interested in doing this, could you tell me what I can eat for breakfast etc, I suffer with nerve problems & id give anything a go to try & stop it thanx Maria x
Carnivore is only animal products so technically no coffee or tea…but many of us (including Dr Berry on RU-vid) still keep coffee or tea if it doesn’t disagree with your body. Zero carb/very low carb dairy is allowed on carnivore (so like hard cheese and heavy cream without additives are allowed because they dont have carbs)…BUT dairy is supposed to be treated as a condiment-minimally. So…tons of people add heavy cream to their coffee. Many find dairy inflammatory or it stalls weight loss for them so they do non-dairy carnivore. Hope that helps! (Oh if you find you dont want to go the dairy route, add in an egg yolk raw to your coffee and whisk with one of those mini milk frothers and it makes coffee velvety and creamy like creamer and not as acidic! 😋
Now this makes me think... people over 50 have to take the shingles shot and it comes in a double dose. I wonder if being on the carnivore diet, would actually prevent someone from getting it. If it is an auto immune disorder, carnivore diet should take care of that.
@@Livetoeat171 Not auto-immune. That implies that the immune system is doing something wrong. Shingles is a variant of the herpes zoster virus. Under normal circumstances the immune system keeps it at bay. When you are inflamed, your immune system is too busy to deal with shingles as a priority. By eating non-inflammatory food you give your immune system time to work on things like shingles. Of course this is all supposition on my part. I'm just taking all of the info that I have gained in the last 2 years and putting the pieces together.
I have pork ribs on occasion (Steph) 😀 not smoked, but air fried! Delicious! Just don’t love them often…I mainly crave beef. Steve doesn’t seem to want any pork lately so he has had a steak every time I’ve had pork ribs 😆
@@StevenSteph I also crave beef the most and also chicken wings. By the way, I love watching y’all’s updates. Been watching for for awhile now. Shared with a friend today.
On regular carnivore, you can eat ANY meat, land or sea! 😀 The cleanest the better (check ingredients on the labels if it’s packaged…we can’t have additives or seed oils etc…just meat). Some people only do grassfed (many with health issues or sensitivities like autoimmune disorders), some do ANY meat they can afford. Dr. Berry is our favorite RU-vid doctor and he says eat the best you can afford. Here’s a link to his beginner carnivore videos! Definitely check him out! ❤️ ru-vid.com/group/PL48jnTudSMf_Qiip-b6rMgS_7fL6t7v1N&si=XN9n2qb7ZfYVGpX-
For us personally (everyone has their own version that works for them), we do mainly beef and eggs and salt (Costco - chuck steaks from a box of chuck roll)…but we also do occasional salmon, sardines, rarely but occasionally nitrate free/sugar free ham or bacon (we lost our desire for pork and chicken early on, but do have it on occasion), lamb, bison, venison, and recently duck. Most do some dairy and spices but we don’t (Steve doesn’t, Steph has cheese and spices on occasion). We both drink black coffee (as does Dr Berry) (we both cut it out and noticed no difference, and brought it back and noticed no difference, so we kept it).
I would love to know if you guys are blood type O. I heard that blood type does best on carnivore so if you’re not that blood type that would be debunked. Thanks
🤔 not sure what you mean…if you meant when we did add in carbs for a while to appease our doctor, yes…we did…but we cut them out again when they made Steve’s autoimmune disorders flare. We aren’t selling anything. Just sharing our experience. This isn’t a carnivore channel, it’s our vlog channel and we just happen to be doing carnivore right now. We don’t know what is best, we’re just sharing our journey for health and keeping autoimmune disorders at bay…and this past year it’s been a carnivore journey. The two years prior we’re AIP (Autoimmune protocol diet)
