It is a scandal for public so-called Catholics to espouse such anti-truth and it is a scandal when Bishops don’t speak out and finally ex-communicate. My wife is looking at the Catholic Church and sees the value in standing for truth but then points to the Bishops and says why don’t they do something.

I have gained more respect for you for speaking up on this, but please don't be so quick to defend pope Francis, or quote his inadequate utterances. Francis's laxity, encourages Biden and Pelosi in their positions. Well done for speaking out, but we need to back this up by actions. Words are not enough on this matter as far as church authorities are concerned.

What about him being charitable, going out and helping mother's in distress, especially those without money, home, health insurance, being a Shepherd that smells like sheep? How comfortable it is for you all, and for him, to talk like that without being with the unborn and the mother.
I agree with this rationale about incoherence, but find it disappointing that this particular moral issue is highlighted over and above other political issues involving the right to life. It would be coherent and courageous of Bishops to speak out publicly against previous supposedly Christian Presidents' dubious moral standpoints. The right to be born is one amongst many rights to life.

He and most priests of his ilk haven't really went down this road yet, but it is an important topic in current events, so why not? He most certainly has talked about many other "political" issues, and addresses those much more than this one. Additionally, this isn't about politics that many others on here are making this about. This is a moral issue that is addressed directly by the Catholic Church. The problem with much of the thinking is like this, is that this is a republican or democrat thing when in reality it is not--it is an an objective moral dilemma that the Catholic Church has always forbidden and always will, and this needs to be talked about--not swept under the rug, so kudos to the good Bishop for standing up for the Church's teaching on this.

This is the first time in a long time that I've seen Bishop Barron directly speak out against someone in office, rather than politely and gently try to speak around them or the issue, or to address the issue using vagueries at best. Well done!
I totally agree. This took a lot of courage. I understand in the past he has expressed dismay that when speaking on these topics, some people go right to politics and party lines. Here Bishop Barron calls out President Biden -- one might add, "See, he's a good republican and democrats are all wrong!" ... No ... Bishop's dismay is that we think in terms of political lines rather than the finer resolution of these individual topics. There is some good in both sides of the political spectrum, there are ideas to reject as Catholics from both sides. Let us pray we do not lose sight of what matters: that is productive discussion of specific topics and ultimately responding to our invitation to live according to His teaching, that we may be more fully free, more fully alive, to the glory of God in heaven.
It maybe that you are repeating something you would often hear about Bishop Barron. I don't ever think that Bishop has been unclear in his thoughts or unsure about his stand. It might benefit to look up yourself for everything that Bishop Barron has spoken and/or published over good number of years.

I think Bishop Barron communicates in a sophisticated but ultimately clear way. Thank you Bishop! I grew up as a Catholic and lost my way a long time ago. I started watching your videos some time ago and have found myself going back to mass. Your videos and messages were my entry point back to my faith. Videos like this continue to entrench me in my faith while the rest of the world no longer makes sense.
Father John Corapi had the courage to say this and all manner of criticism of a corrupt church. Now he's disappeared into thin air, swallowed up by the papal black hole. I hope this doesn't happen to Bishop Barron. I'm sure this kind of strict doctrinal expression is despised within the Vatican. At this rate, the church will be extinct by the turn of the next century or basically unrecognizable.
Maybe you need to look up Archbishop Cordileone or Cardinal Burke. Both rebuked Biden and Pelosi a LONG time ago. THEY are courageous in their faith and commitment to the Church, even when others higher up aren't.

Regarding the "True" trinity, as Catholics we believe in the Trinity and the Church as described in the Nicene Creed. I checked out the channel you mentioned. The gentleman appears to be confused regarding the truth of the magisterium. Judging by your other comments, I am guess that you are a protestant who is interested in Catholicism. Please keep exploring what the Church that Christ founded has to offer, beauty and truth. I was a protestant and joined the church almost three years ago. Best decision I ever made.
Glad to hear that one of our Pastoral Counselors FINALLY stood up about this . I've just recently returned to Catholicism after a little break of 45 years or so ,and yet I am surprised that with his and Nancy Pelosi's action's they are allowed to receive communion. They need to repent.

I hope everyone notices that Bishop Barron spoke from reason (a gift of God, of course), and NOT based on a doctrine from Christ. He just showed us how President Biden is inconsistent in his proclaimed beliefs. And, thinking logically, would any of us want to put into a powerful political office someone who holds beliefs about humanity but does NOT want to put them into practice publicly?

I've been praying my Rosary that he speaks in defense of the unborn as well as the defense of the Rosary, especially if he is praying it. Thank you for your plea. Every time we vote we are imposing our will on others. Hopefully our will, informed by our intellect, is ordered toward the good. Praying for you as well, Bishop.

@@eekay5710 that's the problem with American Catholics, I am a Catholic too, and pray the rosary. But this disconnect of praying the Rosary and missing the teachings in the Gospel, especially Charity is so present in the US.

The Bishop’s church political office of “Bishop” is surely not on any ballot. Especially since MANY Catholics do not agree with his position. Clearly he would not make his present office in the church unless he were in-democratically appointed by a higher authority. He is out of step wig most Catholics. But this is not unusual.
So... If somebody's 16 y.o. daughter gets raped and pregnant... is that family of Victims not free to choose , if they want a Rapist's baby or not , in their household ? Meanwhile , one of my aunts carried two babies 9 months but both were Stillborn. Dead. Sometimes the "Infinite Wisdom of God" would suggest that , absolutely Anything Goes ! By woman who chant erroneously at pro-choice protests "it's my choice to kill this unplanned parasite." So yes, we still value the lives of those children who were unplanned, my husband is one of them, and is an incredible human being. Every life is indispensable, whether they have health problems, are unplanned, or are from rape. The child born of rape is still a beautiful person, like you and I, and let's not forget they carry 50% of the mother too.

You should look up bishop Athanasius Schneider, he doesn’t wait 2 years to make Catholic teaching clear to Catholics. Still, I thank bishop baron for doing his part even if we had to wait for him to start speaking out

About time? Bishop Barron has preached on the same message and “called it like it is” since I can remember. This is the first time I’ve heard him call out politicians by name, but his message has always been faithful to faith and reason.
@@Duran290 oh no I dont mean he hasnt been good in the past. But in the past the Usccb has been very softspoken about hypocrite Democrat Catholics. Even Cordikeone with Pelosi is almost too polite in how it was handled; we are talking about public Catholic figures openly advocating for murder here, after all. Its a nice change to hear someone with authority confront this more directly by succinctly showing the logic these politicians use is completely bogus. Indeed every bishop in America should make a personal message like this and show how serious this is.
