Our Coaching Structure for 2024 

Not sure if any of the C9 staff will see this, but I love to see more long forms of content like this during the split with Meteos interviewing players about their thoughts on the LCS and how this split is going. They don't even have to be purely about the split, but about how the player is doing, his history, what hobbies they enjoy. Anything for us as fans to feel more engaged with the content.

I've been a C9 fan since the OG crew and Fudge is one of the all-time greats of C9. We're fortunate to still have him. Being #1 top laner isn't everything and he's always been up there LCS. Remember when people complained about Licorice and look at him now.

Fudge is a fuckin monster he's the best NA top hands down and he's consistently improving.

I think a video of the current team going over the C9 worlds run in 2014 with Meteos, Sneaky and Hai would be cool. Just the team asking them how they felt at that time or during a certain play what they were thinking. To show how far C9 has been in the game as well as always being consistently good with different Rosters.

Mithy at 21:40 is actually really refreshing to hear.

I really liked what Hai had to say about Fudge at the beginning. A lot of fans have hindsight perspectives on players and often times players like him are hard to come by. This kind of sit down is great and I wish more teams would do content like this for the fans

Really enjoyed the video. Definitely a big plus to have two OG's. Not just on this video, but as active members of the team still. Makes it really easy to root for the team. Bring Sneaky in as content, Lemon as another coach, and Balls in as an analyst? Content? IDK where Balls' is proficient. What I'm trying to say: yes, please more of this.

To be fair 12 hours is low compare to what others sports do. I used to play Semi Pro basketball and it was at lot more than 12 hours. Being a professional at something is dedicate your life to it. Turn it into your lifestyle. I was a semi pro and still were at lot hours. Early morning meeting,studying and teamwork activities Morning fundamentals,stretching and warmups Mid morning actual practice and build up skills practices Mid day team philosophy,concepts and the values and ideas the coach wants up to apply in game Past mid day team scrim Those were 12 hours already After practice 1 or 2 more hours of conditioning to build up strength,leg power,grip and pretty much just gym work. Then you go and study for yourself film and meeting with other teammates to talk about the game and bounce ideas off each other. For sure at that time i was dedicating like 14~16 hours at day to basketball.

I am unbelievably excited about the 12 hour commitment rule.

30:43 In my fair opinion for Golden Guardians are owned by the Golden State Warriors and the Golden State Warriors did invest in a new WNBA future team coming to The Bay. They invested heavily when franchising came out for the LCS (the Milwaukee Bucks own FlyQuest). I think the Golden State wanted to invest into a new venture for their city instead of an org that has had success but not Golden State Warrior success looking to the future of league of legends. Ever since Golden State started Golden Guardians I have been a fan from behind the scenes because so much C9 talent has played for them it's sad to see them leave but the memories still remain.

How about half na eu go to East other half go to the other region, same for East lck lpl then swap send the other half to other east region, keep rotating yearly. Eventually parity will be reached. For teams out of region 2 games will be scheduled to play at others timeframe. Maybe have a competition right before world events to decide na eu lpl lck

Please I am so hopeful every year but we do poorly in internationals. Hopefully 2024 is the year.

I disagree with Hai's perspective at 20:21. I think the West's focus on winning early game is hurting their chances against top tier teams and only acts as a placebo effect. The best way to go about it imo should be to rely on non-mechanically-intensive champs with good scaling that can stand their ground early and not fall too far behind. That way, you get some insurance. How many times have we seen 5k gold leads at 20 mins not matter after the Asian team gets a teamfight win due to better hands and better champs?

Okay Hai, I’ll take your word for it, but I’ll buy the guys a dog if they need a good atmosphere if it means fudge can focus on top lane and actually practice the game. I know it takes a cohesive team to win, but they can’t carry him if he’s so bull headed and cant accept his role when he’s gonna be outclassed against better players. Just trying to abuse meta picks isn’t enough for his skill.

26:23 I think this is a bad take. Love hai, but I don't think people aren't watching league because there are 10 teams. 10 teams in lck and lec and they have better viewership. Think its easier to see games in Korea and lec than it is in US. Also if you compare to other sports, lol has the fewest number of teams. All games except championships are in LA, for some people that is across the country. Which at minimum is like a $500 plane ticket not including hotel. Where in Europe or Korea it is like at most a 4hr train ride for about $30. Also I think teams are super inconsistent. Players move around so much. The most consistent team has been c9 with blaber, fudge and, berserker. All other players move around so much it is rooting for a different team all the time. You can never really root for a team because they are different almost every split whether they do well or not.

I would definitely say one of my biggest concern with c9 last year was the coaching staff since it really felt they skimped out on not keeping guys like revan or veigar. Mithy as head coach again concerns me since I would have like to see a more extreme change but I’m glad they at least bring veigar back

Saying Jojo to Emenes is a QoL change is so dumb when Emenes was not a top 4 mid in NA; Zven also didnt have to "change his playstyle" the dude played adc before. Like sure, engage support learning curve exists but give Berzerker Janna, Lulu, Sona, Karma, Rakan support and just let dude carry. Vulcan is an upgrade too, but if we are going to be disingenuous at least be honest.
