Love it guys, thank you. That’s the kind of town we would like to be near. And the lakes are right there too I think. Gonna check on home prices there! Look forward to more!
stayed at the lake side about 4 years ago . my sis lives near by . wonderfull pool by the lake . has sea plane ride . should also check out the eco system boat ride . well worth it . also ck out the tea room off of donnelly street and the cuban resturant and the one flight up resturant . music in the evenings. if possible go during christmass time . but if you want the maximum christmass spurt you need to go to saint augustine fl . decoration are out of this world and stay at the hilton . 😊
Lakeside would be awesome to stay at! Will have to do that sometime! We actually did a video last year at St Augustine with all the lights and it was one of our favorite things we have done! Will have to stay at the Hilton sometime. That sounds great! Thanks for the suggestion 😀
You might want to check out Frostproof Florida in Polk County,a little off the beaten path,it has a charming downtown surrounded by 2 beautiful large lakes.
Mount Dora - just Doesn't feel like Florida. Very Honkytonk.. No architecture to see. mainly a tourist trap. Extremely hot with no breezes in June - September. It may be a bit safer than the coast for hurricanes.. but we have traveled all of Florida for the past 8 years,. and Fernandina Beach (Amelia Island) is the real deal. NE Florida, great beaches, Great people, Historic Down Town, All local restaurants.
I live in Daytona and used to the breezes as I'm 3 blocks off ocean, on the river. Everytime I go west it's melt time. I can take the heat extremely well but the interior of FL is sometimes close to unbearable for us. Actually going to Mt. Dora tomorrow, 6/18/24. Been to Micanopy yet?
