3.5 years ago we started cycling the world. We explored 38,000 km through Europe, North and Central America. We've met many wonderful people and seen beautiful places. Thank you for all the hospitality and cherishing nature and culture.
The extreme high humidity and burning sun from Oaxaca in Mexico to Panama City had a huge toll on us. Mid 2024 we will swap the heat and the Pan American Highway in South America for a bicycle tour in Europe, specifically in Portugal, Spain and Italy.
Battling the heat got us into house and pet sitting. We’ve had wonderful experiences during several sits in Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama and Curaçao. Back "home" we will change our set-up to loose weight before building up some (permanent) gigs spread across Europe and cycle in between.
Having no tent, sleeping bag and cooking gear with us, will get us back to knocking on doors again, to look for a place to stay for the night. We're counting on the hospitality we received in Europe, Canada, the USA and Mexico.
The future will tell if we will cycle the far East and Oceania. For now we're focussing on Portugal, Spain and Italy.
