Our daughter has cancer. 

Cervical cancer survivor here. Diagnosed at 24, treated, gave birth to 7 healthy children, and now 54 years old. Prayers and hugs to you all!!!!

I'm a teratoma survivor, 3 surgeries, 6 rounds of BEP chemotherapy, and now 16 years cancer free. Jess, you are an incredible badass, I know you can do this!!! You've already got the most important things you need to succeed: a positive attitude and an awesome support system. Sandi, you are an outstanding mom, I swear with everything you've been juggling you must be superhuman!!! I'm about to be 20 in a few days but I actually just went through a bit of a cancer story myself. I just had my thyroid removed about a week ago, as well as a few lymph nodes because it had spread. Cancer's scary, especially when you're young. I think all of you are so strong and I just started getting to know this channel and its story. I'm wishing you and your family the best in this journey, I'm praying for all of you. ❤

Jess is a very upbeat young lady. Because she was so on top of her own health worries, that cyst was caught really early. She has the most support from yourself and mark and other family. We will all keep her in our prayers for a good outcome, that the cyst removal has removed all of the cancer cells.

I know some of your stress and heartache and it makes me sad for you. My 22yr grandson had a massive mediastinal sarcoma in his chest wrapped around his heart and lungs. His complicated medical journey was definitely a family journey, we were his tribe and his best support. Hugs and hugs and more hugs to you.

Hi Sandi, sheep farmer from New Zealand here, Just want to send my best wishes to your family while Jess goes through treatment, my partner also had cancer and had chemo and radiation which like Jess started with back pain. I think I took the news harder than her, it's not easy to concentrate on running a farm when someone you love is going through that. Also just wanted to comment how different your farming system is to mine, my farm is considered small here, I run about 1200 sheep and all ewes are lambed outside in late winter early spring with just the weak ones bought in if they need help, all raised on grass, we get the occasional snowfall but nothing like you appear to get. I think in another video your husband was heading to NZ to look at our farming systems so he would have noted quite a difference. Anyway stay strong , you are doing well. all the best.

Jess is going at this with such positivity and courage, but also such charity! To even donate her hair before starting treatment shows such selflessness and fortitude. She is grabbing that bull by its horns. May Jesus bless all of you!

Hang in there Sandi. As a mom who’s son was diagnosed with cancer when he was 15 I know all too well the flood of emotions that soar through your body and brain. I myself am a three time cancer survivor and I’m now cancer free. It sounds like they caught it early and Jess is young and healthy so that’s a good thing. I’m a retired nurse and the best advice my son’s oncologist gave me was “Don’t worry about the what if’s”. This is a one day at a time journey. My prayer’s will be with all of you as you journey down the path to recovery and good health.

I am a cancer survivor myself. I described my experiences to Jess in her channel. I was utterly astonished how much progress medical science has made since I was a kid, and a friend of my family died of cancer. It's no longer considered an inevitable death sentence, and a lot of it is now considered CURABLE! Jess is young and strong, and your strength shows in her. So I had two unrelated kinds of cancer, and I'm 75 years old and planning my 100th birthday party. So with a million people all over the world sending prayers, good wishes, encouragement, and healing thoughts her way, I have plenty of hope for Jess. You and she are invited to my party in 2047😄

Anyone who is anything other than loving and supportive to you or Jess will definitely get what they deserve from your true friends and supporters! Love you Sandy!!!❤

Thank you for sharing this with us. My heart breaks for you all. As a mom there's nothing harder than watching your child struggle with sickness and you can't fix it. The feeling of helplessness is so hard. I'm praying for Jess and your family. Btw, love her haircut! And the puppy was a brilliant idea. I did that for my daughter when she was 13 and he was her best friend for 15 years and 11 months. She had to say goodbye to him in December and she's so lost without him. But he was with her through so many illnesses and struggles, giving her unconditional love, cuddles and happiness. Hugs.

When my daughter was in college she had the same surgery as Jess and I thought my world was coming to an end. Fast forward 20 years and I not only have a healthy daughter but an adorable granddaughter too. Jess (and you) will get thru this with the love and support of all those who surround you. We will all be following your journey with you and cheering you onwards...waiting for that wonderful day when we hear the words "Jess is healthy and cancer free"!

Watching our babies suffer is never easy, no matter how old they are. Watching Jess's post reinforces her ability to look at the whole picture and how intelligent she is. I just came over from Jess’ video, and I just wanted to say that I have been seeing so many comments on her video of cancer survivors’ stories, and that I am sending positivity and hope you her and the entire family ❤ I’m doing cancer research in my MSc, and I can see all the postdocs and PhDs in my research centre are top of their field and trying so hard to develop new methods of cancer treatments. I’m hoping Jess will get through this, and she seems so positive, just hold onto that hope and positivity to support each other and get through this ❤❤ much love from me

I just found your channel today, and firstly, I just want to say my thoughts/prayers/good juju are with you all, SO very much... hearing the dreaded cancer word is unfathomable, and your strength, love, and positivity will help carry you all. I hope and pray for nothing but the best outcome for your daughter. A positive attitude can make a huge difference in things, and it sounds like you guys have that. Be strong for each other, and I know you will. Secondly, I just absolutely love your compassion for your animals. I could tell exactly what kind of person you are when you said, "There is nothing worse when an animal passes away." That is so so true! Also, watching you love on each of the baby goats as you grabbed them for their clostridium injection was so so sweet! You can tell your animals are everything to you!! Also, the love you have for your sheepsy babies is just so dang sweet too! I would totally be the same way, as animals are my therapy, without a doubt. We have a Lucy baby too, she's a 3.5 year old German Shepherd, and my baby and therapy doggy through and through!!! Piper is absolutely adorable, such a great addition for Jess and you all at this time of your life. Piper will help Jess so much! Anyway, I'm so SO sooooo glad I found you, and I'm going to be going back and watching other videos and checking in and subscribing to Jess's channel. I have walked in your shoes and I know how hard this is. My daughter was diagnosed at 19. Only advice I can give because every journey is so different is let people help you! Uh...let's see if we can summarize this a bit. Another lambing season done, a superb medical team with a plan, a perky cute little hairstyle, a sassy new puppy, a seriously dedicated mom and dad, and a strong young daughter with exceptional intelligence and a positive attitude. Sounds like a piece of cake to me. This Brock family has what it takes to go the distance. We'll be here waiting and watching those precious little lambs as they spring about and grow like weeds. My mom had stage 4 breast cancer at 39 and stage 4 ovarian/uterine cancer at 56 with terminal diagnosis for both and beat them. I know it’s tough, but positivity, compassion from family and friends, and the community to support Jess and your family is what you need that will help her get through this. My mom lived to 82 before passing from complications from ALS but up till then she lived a great life and so will Jess. Have faith and I will pray for your family to give you strength while going through this horrible situation. May GOD be with you.

I have been cancer free for 9 years so I really understand how Jess feels. My thoughts are with you all and hopefully they have caught it early enough.

Having been through the cancer journey, I can relate. Because my oncologist did not tell me the total details, I had this as my motto: " I may have cancer, but it doesn't have me. God does." When the journey gets to tough to take it one day at a time, take it one step at a time, and just breathe. God will be with you through your journey. Your family is in my prayers.

I had a therapist suggest getting a dog to “inject some joy” into my family during a particularly dark time. And that’s how my daughter got a dog for her 7th birthday. If an expert suggests a puppy for an injection of joy it can’t be wrong. Prayers for healing for Jess, strength for the whole family, and that you allow yourself grace with juggling everything.

He never leaves you and will never forsake you. I'm asking him to guide the doctor's mind and hands to give Jess the best treatment available. My niece was diagnosed with lymphoma at 15. It wasn't easy for her and was hell on her family but she stayed positive. That gave all of us strength. I hope you all are as blessed as we have been. 7 years later, she's still cancer free.

I’m an oncology nurse in MN and an IVF mama. I’m so sorry that your family, especially Jess, has to go through this. It’s really hard to watch your babies have such a scary ordeal. From what I know about Jess, she is otherwise healthy and very strong, and has a wonderful mindset. These are all great things to have going into chemotherapy. I was sick with something life threatening at about the same age as Jess and my Mom was in your shoes. She was very much my caretaker and the one who kept track of everything. I was too sick and too young to understand the impact on her. Much, much later on, I could see how much she dealt with. Please share as much or as little as helps you cope and keep moving forward. I am a breast cancer survivor. I am one year out from surgery. I will be one year out from chemo in July and October for radiation. Cancer is no longer a death sentence. She is strong just like her mama. We are here for when you need us to listen. ❤

Jess is in good hands. I had a similar health crisis in 2009, leaving me unable to have any more children. I was 34. She's smart by thinking of her fertility at her young age. Praying for her safe egg retrieval, gentle chemotherapy, and speedy recovery. 🙏

Sandi, it is so sad that you have to remind people to be nice and kind. Your family is in my prayers. Anytime a parent has to deal with a child’s life changing illness is heartbreaking. I retired from being in the healthcare field. I was a surgery scheduler for four gynecological oncologist. Jess has impressed me with her own proactive approach! I cried with you today! It was a privilege and humbling to work with the patients on their journeys. Big big hugs to you all!

So often strength is associated with silence and a head down approach to bearing the weight of a difficult time. But I think true strength is demonstrated by being able to share, being vulnerable, and asking for what you really need. I applaud you and Jess for having the strength to continue sharing, to continue being vulnerable and transparent about all the feelings that pop up on this journey, and for staying true to asking for what your family needs.
