Welcome to Cruiselandia! We love going on Cruises. Santorini was a “bucket list” destination for us. In fact the primary reason we went on this Cruise was because Santorini was on the itinerary. Santorini did not disappoint. It was everything we had hoped for.

About how long would you say the water taxi ride is? And about how long for the walk to the buses and then bus ride into Oia? Thanks so much!

The water taxi is about 20-30 minutes long. About a 10 minute walk up to the shuttle bus. Thanks for commenting!

Thanks for commenting. We did not go thru the Cruise Line. We considered all of our options, and felt the water taxi was our best option. We didn’t want to deal with the gondola, or climbing the stairs, so this was it. We would do it again. Personally, other than the smell, I enjoyed walking down the donkey trail.

Going to Santorini by cruise is not the way to visit. Better to fly in and stay for a few days before a cruise. That's what I did.

The ticket office is right next to where you get off the tender.

Santorini is the worst cruise port, they really do not care about the tourists, they let them waiting for the round trip cable car rides under 100 degrees sun for 5 hours, it is not acceptable.
