We could have spent around $1,000 on a Nature's Head or an Airhead composting toilet, but instead we built our own for under $300. So - how did that work out for us? After a month and a half (and now in October 2021, nearly 2 years) ((and now, April 2023 - about 3-1/2 years) in the van, we're very happy with it. You can read more about this on our blog at timshannonltd.com/liquids-and...
And please note - due to many comments here telling us how peat moss is not sustainable, we've quit using peat moss and are now using wood shavings (pet bedding) from a pet store. And the wood shavings actually work better! Thank you to everyone who commented on that!
