This series is pure satisfaction. The transformation is incredible, and the attention to detail in every room is commendable. It's not just a finale; it's a celebration of hard work paying off, leaving viewers inspired and eager to tackle their own home improvement projects.
Watching the finale feels like a rewarding journey in itself. The before-and-after shots are jaw-dropping, and the creators' candid storytelling about the challenges and victories makes it relatable and engaging. This video is a must-watch for anyone embarking on their own renovation adventure.
What a journey! The finale of the DIY Home Renovation series left me amazed at the incredible transformation. From the initial struggles to the final result, it's a testament to the power of determination and creativity in turning a house into a dream home.
You can check back, cos I have been complimentary on other videos. But on this outhouse, which is more like 4 square metres not 4 metres square, you haven’t insulated any of it. Plus no electric sockets anywhere. Plus, no sanding of any of the furniture up cycling. I’m sure using wall and ceiling paint will just chip off if knocked.
A few tips - push the “cladding” flush to ceiling so there isn’t gaps, then skirting around the bottom, also you missed a chance to insulate behind the cladding!
It's great to see you again, Nicky & Harri 😊 What a journey you've been on with this renovation! It looks incredible! The fact you can do a lot of the work yourselves to a very high standard & save a lot of £ is a huge bonus. I would like to thank you for taking us along on your journey & wish you both a very peaceful happy Christmas. I can't wait to see what 2024 brings with your plans. Take care, all the very best ❤x
Thank you very much Harley + you’re very welcome, we’ve loved having you along for the journey! We can’t wait to show you our plans for 2024… Have an amazing Christmas and we’ll catch up with you in the new year- all the best 🥰🤗
Thank you got posting in 2023! Helped massively with my own house renovations. Had the water main changed, old radiators upgraded and chased, sparky is in now rewiring the whole house. Watching you guys put in the graft and the aesthetic of the place has helped me in both regards. I hope in 2024, you guys are able to sleep more! Well deserved rest ahead! Merry Christmas!
Amazing to hear how we’ve helped you with your renovation, it sounds like you’re right in the deep end but are hopefully enjoying it as much as we did. Merry Christmas and have a great 2024, we’ll try get some rest over the holidays and be fresh for the new year!! 🤗
New viewer - super impressed by how much you've done yourself. This is very inspiring (I've just bought a fixer upper and crying at the cost of trade labour in London!) - subscribed to see the end result of your hard work!!
Nicky and Harri it has been an awesome 2023 watching you turn this run-down house into a modern mansion. Your hard work and creativity are showing up in every part of the house. I really love how your outhouse is coming along, it is looking lovely. I really like the original knobs on the chest of drawers you just renovated. I would love to see your cost breakdown when you get a chance. I am wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you as always Leslie, we’re so glad you’ve enjoyed watching along with us in 2023! We’ll make sure we do a cost breakdown in 2024 as well as a more in depth kitchen review and breakdown! Have an amazing Christmas and we can’t wait to show you our more exciting 2024 plans 🤗😅 x
It’s all going so well, beautiful job. I hope you weren’t affected by the horrible flooding the other month, was bad locally hey. Am hoping you do another van build tbh, am rewatching your old conversions at the mo! Merry Christmas and all the best for 2024! 🎉
It was awful locally, but luckily for us we’re right on a little hill so it doesn’t directly bother us! Glad you’re enjoying the old van conversions and have a very merry Christmas!! 🙌🏻🤗
Your renovation journey is amazing - it’s inspired myself and my partner who are currently renovating our first house in the Isle of Man🇮🇲 The new carpet is being fit today and I am so excited to see the transformation!!
Looking amazing as always!! What a transformation when you see the before shots! I think 2024 will be another Reno but this time a bigger/longer term house!
Another fab video, thanks for sharing, wishing you a fantastic Christmas and new year and looking forward to what 2024 brings, all the best and thanks for the fun videos
foil underfloor heating would work a treat in the outbuilding and costs about £100. i would have done mine if i knew how cheap it was (at the time) but im glad i added jabfloor insulation to the walls and floors. so i can use the room all year round. 🌨️❄️☀️🌞
Stick with the original handles as they’re just as nice as the cup handles but less hassle to install and you can send the others back or save them for another time.
Love it, you have both done an amazing job with this project! Looking forward for the full house tour and cost break down! Hope you have a great Christmas and looking forward for your plans in 2024! :)
Catching up a little late! Hope you had a well deserved break over the festive period. Agree with the others on the original drawer knobs. I doubt 2024 will see you try your hand at gardening/landscaping, it seems too low key for you pair! Keen to see what you turn your hand to next though. We’re due to set of backpacking for 4months in a few days and your old van videos inspired us to give this YT craic a go… wish us luck! All tips welcome. Episode 1 coming this Sunday!
Thanks very much guys, we had a great Christmas break and are back feeling super refreshed! We're reveling our 2024 plans in the next hour in our latest upload, so be sure to tune in! Have great fun travelling and good luck with the grind!
We’ll let you know as soon as we have a plan, and will talk through our options in the new year! We can’t wait to show you whatever we end up doing though, so glad you’ve enjoyed!
Was just hoping you won't be just living in the house from now on 😂 Hoping you would rent the house out and go on a road trip 😂 I am doing a 2 months road trip in the USA starting last week which takes me to the middle of Feb 2024.. Then I Hope to do 4 months in Asia from April... Depending on money 😂 Plus I feel like giving up on this YT lark too, but you and other YTers keep me going sometimes.. 🎉
Really enjoyed sharing your journey thank you 😀 The full cost breakdown would be interesting to see... I think you will either be travelling abroad or renovating another property in 2024! You could be £330K wealthier less your costs by then 💰 Defo wooden knobs on the chest of drawers please 🙏 Seasons greetings Both 😄
I reckon you'll either sell the house and travel or rent the house and travel and find a new project abroad after having a well deserved rest ofc from building work ofc!
Great work guys! Very well done to you! Can I ask what you both did at uni? And do you think you will end up in jobs using your qualifications? Or are you just happy in your adventures and putting videos on RU-vid? Sorry to be nosey, I’m just genuinely interested! Whatever your plans, have a lovely Christmas and good luck for 2024! 👍🏼
Merry Christmas to you both! Well, just a month ago, hubby and I moved to our forever home so 2024 is when we start making the home our home - we're still trying to cover the 100% functional bit 😆(no bed and not enough bins!)
It’s looking great. I think I prefer the original knobs on the upcycle. Is the outhouse insulated/heated at all? Will you install a heater of some kind? Wishing you a first happy Christmas in your cosy home xx
Thanks Sharon!! The outhouse will have a heater but is not insulated. This was due to the cost/benefit trade off as will mostly be used as a summer office. Merry Christmas to you and see you in the new year 🙂🙌🏻. X
Love the channel props to both of you I have a question was it not worth buying a latex waterproof paint for it and then using the wood I’m just thinking will it not rot ?
