My kitten went missing whilst on a morning walk down the drive with my elderly dogs. Throughout the day I retraced my steps looking for Belle a 7 month old kitten. Late afternoon she still hadn’t returned I asked one of my other cats to join me in the search. He immediately followed me and as we reach the very quiet country road at the end of my drive he turned and looked directly at a bramble bush and meowed. An answering tiny meow came from within the bush and then Belle appeared safe and sound. What was strange about this tale was that, Dougal the rescuer didn’t get on with Belle and he never really walked down the drive, preferring the land and barn at the back of my house.
Put a kennel out with some water and maybe an old shirt or something that has your scent on it. The dog will sniff it out and stay near the kennel because its a safe place. This is an old trick used by hunters when they lose their dogs. Also, way to go floof squad for helping you look for Ava.😊
@@DenaligirljodieWhy don’t you invest in gps tags on all of your furkids. Not knowing is the worst. I’m so Sorry for your loss. Loss of a furkid is heartbreaking. You can consider investing in an invisible fence to keep your pets within a large, but reasonable area around your property and keep the predators out. I know it’s great to have lots of land to explore, but do we not owe our pets the utmost responsibility to keep them safe? ♥️
Cats are so independent minded on this walk. Certainly, there is no need for a pack leader. Luved the cat that decided to lay down in the middle of the road. And the cat that went rouge in the trees just to meet up again up ahead. Cat's do what they darn well want to. Low maintenance except for at mealtime. Then go find you, then won't let up until you've followed them back to their bowl.
My cat Meg has to go out everyday and when I call her in my other cat Oliver goes out and cones back 5 minutes later with Meg by his side animals have best friends just like us
