That is definitely one of the harder days on the farm, but it is part of life on the farm. I believe you honor the animal's life by treating them very well and taking care of them as they grow to your fullest capability. Also by using and not wasting the meat afterwards. You and Remy are very kind and caring people to your animals, no matter the animal or their purpose on your farm. Some may not agree but you are doing things the right and proper way. Thanks for sharing Chad. Take care.✌️🤗

I grew up in the city where people didn't/couldn't have farm animals. I wasn't raised to hunt, nor did I know anyone who did so. I am an animal lover through and through and am appalled at the treatment of our "food" animals. It breaks my heart. Thank you, Chad, for treating your animals with kindness and respect. Love from Texas ❤

You guys are to be commended for offering the thanks and respect to the birds before dispatch. I think the universe recognizes gratitude.

Good morning. Videos like this always gives me a huge appreciation of the foods I eat. I LOVE chicken, turkey, Cornish hens, duck etc. You two do a job that I could not do. How was the experience of processing birds for the first time?
@IzzyOnTheMove
Thank you for sharing this and making our food! I am a 100% city person, can't go to far to a coffee shop. I definitely couldn't do hat you do and i think it's hard and noble work. I discovered your channel recently and it's so unique and different! We got the snow drizzle a few days ago too so I'm thinking you might not be far from me, maybe Ontario? I'm in Quebec City. I still have so many maple leaves to rake...🍁

Chad a short story regarding the slaughtering of animals for food "Back in the old country where i am from, the slaughtering was no biggie, you did it o eat, my mother used to kill chickens NO PROBLEM. When we came to Canada no killing chickens. My cousin who lives in Bradford one year gave my Mom a live chicken. When my Mom went to dispatch the chicken, she apologized to the chicken with "I AM SORRY". It is hard but you have to do it. Well done . Informative 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe 🇨🇦

I love chicken too. When we would butcher, I would hide until the bad part was done. I was okay cleaning them and especially cooking, but, I couldn't do the hard part. I love how you and your wife are so good and caring for your animals and farm 🥰🥰🥰

My first process day my mom was there helping coach me as she grew up on farm, I walked in and said ok girls I need 4 who is first, one came running to me from the back looking up with her innocent face….my mom looked at chicken then saw my face and said ..well don’t you feel like a ass…it was hard and mom told me you got 30 !!! Tighten your belt and hitch your big girl pants get it done! After the 4th I just did it thank god for my auto plucker!!! I have done this 3 going on 4 years and with what food costs and how these companies feed I am glad I know where my food comes from

This is what we strive to do, they have Amazing lives then they have one bad day, as opposed to a life of bad days and the worst and scariest day ever.
