In this vlog we show you our full experience with Hurricane Ian here in Orlando. We show you how rainy and windy it was on Wednesday and Thursday. Thankfully we didn't have much damage to our property or house at all. We did lose power for about 15 hours but it wasn't bad, we just went to bed early and it came back on by lunch time. We were very grateful to have a more mild experience with the storm. We hope this vlog helped you to see what the hurricane was like for us here in Orlando. Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

I’m from North Port and we were one of the cities that was hit the worst. Lots of my friends and neighbors have about 2 ft of water in their houses and their roofs flew off. Luckily my house is undamaged but we have no clue when anyone can go back to school or work. Glad to know you guys are safe!

I'm in North Port ad well. We will need a new roof and there are lots of trees down. The important thing we are keeping in mind is that we are all ok. So glad you all are ok!!!!

I'm down in North Port Estates. It was so bad out here. We had flooding before from previous hurricanes but this was something out of this world. We lost all of our vehicles parts of our roof but thank God no water in our house. It was however in the garage and on the back porch. Thank God for those guys in the airboats doing resuces. After 4 days we ran out of food and gas for the generator. They were a god send.

The flooding in Fort Myers and Cape Coral reminds me so much of when Hurricane Harvey hit us in Texas. No one was prepared for the amount of flooding. Our house got about 4 ft of water. So many people were asking to be rescued on social media, it was so heartbreaking. Glad you guys are safe!! And definitely sending prayers to those badly affected.

I’m From New Orleans so def a hurricane veteran unfortunately. So so so devastated for ft myers and surrounding areas. I feel helpless being so far away and not knowing how to help. Being from Nola, I’ve experienced some serious storms but have always been so so grateful my home and family did okay. Ida was horrid for us last year - damage to the house and without power for almost 2 weeks. But during those hot, long days I reminded myself regularly that I still had a home to sit in. It is absolutely nothing compared to what those poor ppl have lost in south Florida. My heart breaks for them.

I'm glad you all are doing good and that your power was back on in a timely manner. We're in Seminole County (Altamonte Springs) and in our neighborhood, we have some minor flooding from the Little Wekiva River that overflowed, a few big trees down (no damage, thankfully) and lots of small tree branch and leaf debris. Miraculously, our neighborhood never lost power. It only dipped a little bit around 3 AM when I was going to bed. Unlike with Irma, where we were without power for 8 days!

A super hint to tell if your power goes off while you’re away from your home is to take a small container & put water in it & freeze it. After water is frozen, place a penny on top of the ice & put just a few drops on water on top of penny & then put lid on top. Keep in freezer all the time & if when checking & your penny has sunken down into the container, that means you have lost power because ice has melted either some or a lot. Very small containers with lids can be bought at Dollar Tree

I was at Universal when this storm hit. I was staying at royal pacific and they did an amazing job helping keep the kids occupied.

This storm was crazy. I’m an hour away from Orlando. Lots of trees and branches down but it wasn’t too bad. I feel so much for everyone who got the worst of it. There was barely a 12 hour notice for them and even if they were issued evacuation it was like at 11pm and no one for it. It’s crazy how much damage happened there
