I met my husband in 2012. After 1 month of dating, he took me home to meet his parents and siblings in juarez. I feel in love with him. I just loved how close his family was. They cooked together, played music, and had a great time. I have never seen anything like it. My family is distant. We talk once every few months and go years without seeing each other. We don't get together and cook either.

Your husband is so blessed with such a beautiful wife that embraced his culture and how are raising your beautiful children in Mexico. I can tell you love living in Mexico Erin. ❤

Regarding your baby goat, please give him more grass and natural branches they would eat if they were free. There’s too much rocks and dirt not enough straw. Give him something nice to lay on. Also regarding your dream of a horse please start building a barn. A horse and goats need to be protected from the cold rainy weather. That stall you have outside won’t do to protect your friend. I'm glad that you as an US Citizen living in a traditional small town in Mexico, is showing our culture, traditions and how people live there. Nowdays there is electricity, potable water, internet and other utility services. But that wasnt the case before the '90s. Rancho life was harder, thus million of people emigrating to the Norte. I was born and raised in Mexico, in a city called Mexicali, a border town to California. But my Mom is from Mascota, Jalisco. Blessings

It has its unsafe places but so does the US. The only thing is the government here hides it a lot better. I mean a famous rapper was just indicted for sex trafficking here. There is a Latino market that hosts people twice a month they come with tents selling food, pottery, clothes and the like. We are in heaven. Arepas! I know that’s more Venezuelan .. but I got to try Tostitos with corn, cheese, crema, tajin…and whatever else that beautiful soul tossed in the bag. She was so happy I knew about them and happy to share her knowledge of making them. She had elote and apples wrapped in what looked like fruit roll ups and rolled in chamouy? We also got tamales. So good. They will do this twice a month. Thanks for sharing your life online…we did feel like we stuck out too bad lol.
