In this video, we spend the last couple days in Belize before crossing the border into Mexico. To celebrate, we made an appointment to get our refrigerator fixed.
Really, the fridge needed to be fixed because it got so bad it was to the point we couldn't count on it to keep any food cold enough to not spoil. We began to miss cold beverages so much that finding a tienda with a soda cooler was a treat. We went to Cabral Auto Electric, who specialize in automotive A/C system repairs. This spot was highly recommended by @michaelconchscooter8940 . They did good work for a great price, but ultimately passed the job on to someone who was better suited for refrigerator repair.
Just down the road, we were introduced to Moses at M.J.M. Washing Machine Services. / moiseorantes Aside from being a genuine human, Moses has a real knack for appliance repairs. He knew exactly what needed to be done to get our fridge running smoothly again and set to work without delay. He told us some of his story while he worked, and even helped us reassemble our kitchen after the work was done. He went above and beyond and then refused to accept payment. He is one of our favorite people and if anyone in Belize needs any appliance repairs - he's the guy.
After leaving Moses', we grabbed some lunch and reflected on how awesome he was. Then, we made our way north towards Mexico for one last stop before the border. We checked out the ruins at Altun Ha and parked there for the night alongside our friends Terry and TJ once more. We didn't record much of the evening because the local bars were playing music so loud, but we had a great time hanging in the parking lot and listening to the beats with friends.
