OUR FIRST “REAL” OVERLANDING ADVENTURE - THE SOUTH CAROLINA ADVENTURE ROUTE (SCAR) - PART 1 

After being re-united, we set off on the South Carolina Adventure Route, more commonly referred to as SCAR. This route uses as many unpaved roads as possible to circumnavigate the state of South Carolina, traveling over 1,000 miles in length. While this trail is more popular among motorcyclists, it’s become a favorite route for fellow overlanders to follow. For us, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to set on our first “real” overlanding trail to take us to the coast, a much-anticipated destination.
