Some years ago, when a record-breaking cold wave hit Okinawa, a long queue occurred all the way from the foot to the top on the cherry-tree lined road by locals who expected snow. That's a small trivia on a sub-tropical island. (Yaedake is widely recognized as the highest point you can reach by car on the island by locals.)

I love them. But that's the only spider I like. They made the roads so tight. I would be messed up all the time. Lol
