This weeks episode we invited #MdotR down for what turned out to be an amazing conversation and a legendary Let Me Land episode. We hope you enjoy! Don't forget to like and subscribe, tell a friend and all the rest! Let us land!!!!
let me explain to you lot something , I have travelled around the world, traditional jamicans look like lippy and the other guy , not like kdot or even the white guy, bob marley is not a traditional looking jamican he is mixed race , a irish mother, when I went to jamaica most people looked like typical black west africans, which is what they should look like when they got dropped off, same thing with ethiopia somalia and those countries, leave the city or the rich area where the mixed people are with softer hair, or not so strong black features, go to all the other places out of the city, and they again they look the normal typical black looking people. So it is sad to see the 2 guys on here that look more jamaican are acting like they forgot there roots, kdot is not a representation of jamicans, if kdot can be jamican the white guy is jamican aswell, if you use that logic
For real lippy got morals always hear his kids in the background that's a stand up guy... And he stands up to Internet badman that could actually see him on roadside...
The reason why I think it's stupid how people question someone speaking Jamaican is because yeah I know it's just culture but no-one questions when a white man converts to Islam or any other religion or vice versa

Mandem, I love the show. But pleeeeease 🙏🏾 please, let the guest land when he’s talking. A lot of “yeah” and input before he’s finished his sentence. LET. HIM. LAND 😭
Frankly speaking. Not gonna beat mdot for his talent but there is a difference with us Jamaican accepting the rest of world. 1 we are the kindest people to anyone than our own but music / dancehall fans don’t just let anyone in. Now my question is which show in Jamaica did Mdot performed and the patron say yes “him bad” ? Name of shows please. Frankly speaking Jamaican that mdot met in Jamaica see him as a RU-vidr /cooking 🤷♂️.
oh shut it. When mo gilligans insta reels blew of him imitating white chavs, no one said this about him. Ppl like u just found out about mdotr these time he been like this for over 10 years
@@the_re_upI cannot believe you think your comment is proving any point other thanOPs. Mo Gillian was taking the piss; you saying that’s what M Dot is doing? Cah if so, what fcuking point you trying to make? 🤨
His been doing this music fake yardie shit for yearssssss.... he only getting his flowers now because your dad's drake cosigned him.. clearly you can tell he's not right in the head or why else would he suffer with a identity crisis? People only appreciated him when he started acting up Jamaican in his music besides that who even cared? He loved doing music, his music never banged when he was being him native self.. this guys a clown if you ask me 😆 🤣 😂 who begs it like that off a country on the other side of the earth thats got nothing to do with him or even in his heritage lol
Nobody from the actual countries being supposedly “appropriated” has an issue with those promoting and loving their culture. It’s always people from western countries that feel that way.
those here in Britain would have gravitated to Jada especially the females simply because the passa would have resinated more as they would more in tune with the controversial bullets that Jada was sending and it was maaaaad entertaining to the masses where as Steph was sending killer shots very cleverly that only those on the ground would understand, "the Foota & Fully bad reference that R. highlighted was CRAZY" that shit went over 90% of uk's head. so Steph was disadvantaged simply because uk was so caught up in the slander they wasn't paying attention to the actual lyrical gymnastics, the Jamaicans mostly females are just crazy loyal and biased. the Mandem on both sides of the pond was so intrigued and excited by the fact that two ABSOLUTE beautiful & talanted females are going mad on each other it was like some fantasy ting (mud wrestling vibe) its like they couldn't vote. so Jada won on the popularity vote as the dancehall streets (females in particular) just love her & she sexy as F*#k but Steph 1million% won the the lyrical battle & I don't believe theres any doubt. great vibes for the culture either way
Wow mdot was on RTM today with spray. N cream, largest drilling, grillin, destruction of this Diddydot. It was a live chat crucification and burial. I felt for him he didn't know if he was a yardie, cockney, grimestar . 😢😢😢😢😢 Watching this stopped me from totally discrediting him. If he was with kai that's big. Cos he was unfortunately embarrassed today Keep ya head up..

@@JamaicanToast not sure what you mean by "byproduct of the strength and spirit". He was raised on Windrush. If they hadnt come UK I dont think we'd be speaking so much patwa or have grown up with Jamaicans, going ti the dances or dating them. He got his first influence through his sister and her boyfriend. Reggae may not have had the impact it did in UK if not for Windrush
Pod was decent up until the time when you used autism as a way to crack a joke, as someone who works with autistic people on a daily basis they are some of the smartest people i have come across, you grown men have to do better than that.
@@theloniouswu5090for a Jamaican to play in an orchestra or a rock band, would it require them to imitate Viennese culture, or to act like they are from America? Do better kmt
So cringy having seen him spitting grime in a normal london accent as a teenager few years ago, i can hear it sneaking in when he talks and how it wears off when his mind stops trying.
Because thats normal when its not your native tongue. I can tell you've never learnt a second language before. You dont employ it all the time or know it back to front. My friend moved to his parents country after being in UK three years from him born. He then moved back to UK as a teen and stayed another couple years. Just that interruption to his mother native tongue he now has issues with certain parts of his mother tongue despite living back in Asia for 15 years now. To me this is down to ignorance and racism. M.Dot speaks the same way as his surroundings. English and Jamaican patois. Nawmal.
@@DarkAngel2512 racism😂😂😂what me?? You think me calling out cultural appropriation is racism🤣 who even mentioned his race?? hes fake its as sinple as that, he doesnt even talk like that these days which is why you can here him slip back to a his actual accent, embracing culture is one thing but abusing it is another
@@djfranticgu so why do you think he shouldnt be speaking patois/making reggae if not for his race? I dont know why you'd assume he is fake for. "Abusing culture"... 😂 Is that like "words are violence"? And not speaking as much patois these days doesnt mean he was fake when he spoke more. I speak less patois these days as I am used to code-switching at work and online and for my foreign mates. It depends how much time you spend around it as to how much youre likely to be used to using it. If those influences drop off or the ppl who understand it arent there you will use it less so as to be understood by those you move with. And if he uses it less now wouldnt that mean he isnt being fake now like ppl claim?
I always get what I expected from this lot especially lippy. Whether I agree or not, I know where they are gonna stand. It is a gimmick. Vanilla Ice vibes. All this catering and pandering is why the culture is too open like a dam swinging door.
The people from the UK hating on him more time can’t even speak their mother tongue and haven’t visited their parents country since they were forced to go there as kids
@@kf9926 the system isn’t stopping you from speaking the language your elders speak, and when you’re an adult and make your own money the system isn’t stopping you from buying a flight there. Stop blaming the system. Jamaicans from Jamaica embrace him, the country is diverse and has people from all over the world making up their population. Hate keeping cultures is a western white country mentality that lost kids started adopting
@@SM-fk5or I never said it was ? Don’t get it wrong I agree with you. I’m just telling you the facts of the matter. Youths in Jamaica are bleaching themselves at the highest rate and your surprised they support a English man getting involved in the culture?
