My friend who's a Dad of 2, said let her squeeze off your hand and do whatever I'm told, but don't look. I followed his rules to the letter, worked out for me when my son was born 😂
To give more context to Mahdis clip u should watch the podcast he explained in further detail he attended his wife’s labour hype first time then never did it after that. His current wife has easy labour and gives birth quite quickly after her water breaks and she does home births, essentially she went into labour, it always goes easy for her, her daughters were also there with her just in case she needed Mahdi so they would call him, the ambulance came in after the baby was born and everything was ok He made the tweet and left out context cos it triggers ppl Also historically men never attended labour, only women would attend labour and her female family members, so from that perspective women provide more emotional comfort and she has ppl by her, it’s more of a modern thing for a man to be with a women in labour. That being said whether I want to or not is not an Islamic issue it is your own person reasoning of what you want to do but as a man you have a responsibility in Islam to take care of your wife so you must do everything possible to make sure she and the baby are alright, and for most ppl they attend their babies delivery anyway.
